I'm going to assume these will be a reboot - if they try to bring Harrison Ford back into this again that'll just be stupid.

After Crystal Skull I think a reboot is in order if they're going to make any more Indy movies; I have mixed feelings about it, but I'm not totally against the idea of reboots (seeing as Casino Royale and the Dark Knight films ended up being great). If done right this could work wonders, but if not it could end up being the final nail in Indy's coffin.

So what actor would you like to see as Indy in a reboot movie? Some of the comments are suggesting Chris Pratt.

Master of My Domain
As a reboot I think a series about Indy's adventures when he was a young adult and how he became the person we all know from the original films would be something fun to watch.

Indiana Jones is like Star Wars--I like the universe enough, and the upside is so great, that I want them to keep making both for the foreseeable future on the off chance that they hit upon something with it. They don't have to reach the same heights to be enjoyable, but if the source is that rich, it'll still have that potential.

I'll just make sure to adjust my expectations accordingly, is all.

I agree. I would like to see something new and fresh in a way. All though Harrison Ford and his character is and will always be an icon in film history, I think it took it's toll.

Spielberg has expressed his interest in rebooting the franchise and has expressed interest in having none other than Chris Pratt in the role of Indy.

It's been officially officialised... Indy 5 going to happen.

Kathleen Kennedy, who is heading Lucasfilm has said that a deal was struck back in 2012 but nothing was actually confirmed.
The past 24 hours has seen Vanity Fair's Bruce Handy interview Kennedy:

"In buying the company, Disney also got rights, for better or worse, to less-storied Lucasfilm properties, among them Willow and Radioland Murders. A bigger prize is the Indiana Jones franchise. Kennedy confirmed rumors that another Indy movie “will one day be made inside this company. When it will happen, I’m not quite sure. We haven’t started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it.”"

It's been hinted that Ford will be back on board too rather than a younger actor.

Well, they did have an entire TV series called Young Indiana Jones, though that did cover Indy's adventures as a young man so maybe something between the events of that show and Temple of Doom.

Hopefully they'll use another lead actor, and have Ford back on board as a Cameo (ex. as Indiana Jones' father); I can't see much good coming from another movie with a 72 year old Indiana Jones.

As long as Shia doesn't come back I'll be happy tbh.

I say BRING BACK KE HUY QUAN!!
Yeah, they could just have Mutt Jones become the "new" Indiana Jones - as long as they pick a different actor.

I'm down for either a sequel or a reboot.

Whenever there is a bad sequel, people are too quick to call for a reboot. They can always redeem themselves.
