She surprised me a lot in Autumn in New York (2000). It's the best performance of hers I've seen. In fact I thought Richard Gere was really good in it as well. I have an added attraction to that film too because I like Vera Farmiga's part in it. Very mysterious and she looks great .

I liked Winona Ryder in The Iceman (2012) as well and I thought she was brilliant casting in Star Trek (2009). I completely bought into her being the younger version of a character I was already familiar with from the original series.

Little Women's very good. I liked Gabriel Byrne in that too.

Was on my Top Women Directed film list I think.

How did I forget that!? And it was on recently. That is a fantastic film and she's brilliant in it .

She was surprisingly good in Black Swan

Everyone who doesn’t have her Night on Earth segment at number 1 is wrong.

She was. They all were. I love that movie,Gideon.

The movie was OK, Natalie Portman has done better work. but, as I said, Winona Ryder was superb.

I couldn't stand that film and shut it off after 30 minutes.

I've seen this twice, good film and the segment with Winona is a hoot. She's such a great character in it.

Is Heathers any good? I keep getting mixed messages about it. I’d initially written it off as a sort of pre-90s edgelord angst fest.

I really liked her in 1989's Great Balls of Fire with Dennis Quaid. It may be that I just really liked the movie. Quaid was great as "The Killer".
