Get Shorty should be a great fit for the sort of thing you're looking for. Reservoir Dogs, too.

Outside of the cool-via-dialogue guys like Leonard adaptations and Tarantino's stuff, heist films are probably going to be your best bet. The Sting's a good one. Maybe The Bank Job, though that's a little darker. Sneakers, almost definitely.

And, weird as this may sound, Cool Hand Luke has a similar feel of cool mischievousness to it. Ditto for The Great Escape.

The Expendables. I think it's the ultimate action movie and has some cool recognizable action stars. When I saw Terry Crews I couldn't help but picture him break into singing mode like he did in White Chicks...
