Hello again
I saw an interesting (non trashy) post apocalyptic flick late on TV years ago. The film had characters in radiation suits walking through desolate industrial landscapes under a yellow/orange sky. There were lots of POV camera shots and very little dialogue, just the sound of them breathing.
Eventually they found an old medical lab with an airlock that enabled them to remove their suits.
All the while they were being observed by people from another dimension, depicted as a fantasy cartoon. There were two cartoon characters, an old man, and a young woman who communicated with the people in the airlock. In the end the characters in our dimension may have ended up going to the cartoon world.
Would like to see the film again as it was quite unique, so any ideas as to what it is would be appreciated.
Incidentally I think it was probably made in the late 80's to early 90's, possibly foreign, though I can't be sure.
