Favorite "less important" characters in movies

Tools

My personal favorite is Klump in Sin City. For those of you who cant recall, Klump is one of the two men hired to pick up Det. Hartigan's corpse from the motel room. He has this hilarious speech with "delusions of eloquence":

"And, if my current state of much-justified petulance permits me to press the point, you are likeways demonstratably bereft of a working understanding of the perimeters of our beforementioned mission at hand. Relevant to said mission is the following query I now put forth to you. Said query concerning matters strictly spatial in nature... Wherein this most streamlined and trunkless of transports, boner-inspiring though it may be, wherein are we to reposit our recently deceased cargo?"

ending in my personal favorite line of the movie upon walking into the hotel room to find no corpse, "I can only express puzzlement that borders on alarm"

haha love that guy

If anything happens to her, I will kill you. This is between you and me, and nobody sees, nobody knows.

Gonna have to go with Leon in Blade Runner:

"Nothing's worse than an itch you can't scratch."

I'm going to have to go with Louis from Planet Terror. It was Quinten Tarantio's character, he was absolutley hilarious for all of the 2.5 minutes he was alive.

"I've seen a lot of crazy **** in my life, but I ain't never seen a stripper with one leg. I've see a stripper with one breast and I've seen a stripper with six toes, but I ain't never seen a stripper with one leg."

A person is smart. People are dumb
I'm sure I'm not the only one, but Kyuzo in Samurai Seven and his counterpart Britt in The Magnificent Seven. I would insert quotes, but they never say anything, which adds to their coolness :P
Also Tristan from King Arthur.
"I aim for the middle."

I'll have to think about this, but whatever list I come up with is probably going to be damn near monopolized by the Coen Bros. unless I specifically avoid it.

haha true that yoda.
My second character choice was The Jesus from the Big LEbowski

I second that. classic character

Love him or loathe him Bill Paxton has to be my favourite actor for memorable supporting roles. Here are my faves...

As Simon the car salesman in True Lies (1994) he was the funniest/best thing about the movie in my opinion.

He only had a handful of scenes as Chet in Weird Science (1985) but the character has become the stuff of legend. You're Stewed Buttwad!!!

Short and sweet is how I'd describe his turn as smart mouth cop Jerry Lambert in Predator 2 (1990), classic Paxton. Surveillance is my specialty!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Mr. Paxton's role as Private Hudson in Aliens (1986) has to be my all time favourite. He stole the movie for me as the hilarious whining voice of the audience. We're in some real pretty sh*t now man!

So there you have it, he's not everyone's cup of tea, some people find the whining annoying, but for me those roles are pure comedy gold. I should also mention that he's a great actor when he plays it completely straight too, films like One False Move 1992, A Simple Plan 1998, and Frailty 2001 are all equally rewarding for fans of the Paxton.

Sorry to sound like a broken record here, I've said it before and I'll say it again but Mr. Paxton's role as Private Hudson in Aliens (1986) has to be my all time favourite. He stole the movie for me as the hilarious whining voice of the audience. We're in some real pretty sh*t now man!

Private Hudson was the second one I thought of when I read the thread title... the first was Pvt. Vasquez...

I ain't gettin' in no fryer!
He was great too... and so was Mac...

I might just have to get Predator and Aliens out and watch them tonight...
That's what I'm thinking, I just don't have the energy for it...

Welcome to the human race...
I'm going to try and pick something a little more out there than something by, say, the Coen brothers or whatever.

In that case, I nominate Ken and Ryoji from Sonatine.
