The Fantasy Hall of Fame

I won't be online until late Saturday night, (probably after 10 or 11 PM, New York time). I'll have to catch up on the results when I get home.
Unfortunately that's after midnight here, and I'm rarely up past 9pm. Enjoy your day out, unless you won't be home because of work, in which case try to have a good time!

@ahwell I just noticed that what was once your review for Fellowship of the Ring on page 10 (actual link here), is now a duplicate of your Return of the King review on page 27 (link here).

The post says it was edited on 7/17, which happens to be the date you posted about RotK. I think you may have accidentally replaced it. You don't happen to have a copy of the original one saved on your computer or anything, do you?

Since not many people seem to be around yet, and the few responses I got that specified a time preferred the latest option, I'll be scheduling the reveal for 6:30 Eastern.

While we're waiting, here are some teasers:

Five films managed to not place at the very bottom of anyone's list.
Four films were not able to land the coveted #1 spot on any list.
Two
films meet both of the above criteria.
Two other films managed to find themselves at both the top and bottom of at least one list.

I'll take a crack at guessing:

I should be here around that time. I'm pretty sure the first Stanley Cup final starts an hour later so if it takes more than an hour I'll be checking the thread on commercial breaks.

It has been a long and arduous journey through a variety of realms,
but we have reached the end of our harrowing quest with enough time
left to sit and rest at the inn while waiting to see if these trials have
ultimately been worth the risk.

Our path took us through epic battles, deep into a dragon's lair,
and gave us a closer look at the world of childhood imagination.
Along the way, we encounterd extra-terrestrial beings, phantasms,
and came face to face with man's inner demons.

So what has happened to our nominated films over the course
of this Hall of Fame? They have been tested, they have weighed,
and their final ranking is now before us!

Tenth Place:

Tideland (2005)
Nominated By: pahaK

Jodelle Ferland was a really amazing actress in this. She was so natural and could convey all sorts of emotions, that adult actors would have had a problem portraying.
It's visually gorgeous (like Gilliam's films usually are), and the combination of childish innocence, disturbing events, escapism, and adaptation creates quite a unique blend.

Ninth Place:

DragonHeart (1996)
Nominated By: edarsenal

I loved the relationship between Bowen and Draco the dragon. I thought that Dennis Quaid and Sean Connery were both perfectly cast.
This is not an epic or a familiar tale revised, this is the comfort of said familiar tale that brings a smile to us who enjoy its telling.

and we get a graph!! VERY COOL!!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes the graphs! I think it's nice to see a visual representation of how everyone voted, rather than just a points total. Some of these graphs vary quite a bit too, which I found interesting.
