Okay, I've changed my mind, sorry about that Firegod (and I've never even seen Instinct so I should shut my trap). Instead I've gone to the IMDB voters and gone through their top 50 movies of the 70s and come out with the ones I think genuinely deserve a place... so here's the 70s list... round 1.

1. Godfather v Badlands
2. Dog Day Afternoon v Cabaret
3. Annie Hall v Network
4. Monty Python and the Holy Grail v Nashville
5. Taxi Driver v Cries and Whispers
6. Apocalypse Now v The Last Picture Show
7. Chinatown v Solaris
8. Star Wars v All The President's Men
9. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest v The Conformist
10. The Sting v Being There
11. A Clockwork Orange v Life of Brian
12. Manhattan v Young Frankenstein
13. Patton v Aguirre: Wrath of God
14. The Conversation v The Deer Hunter
15. Alien v Jaws
16. Godfather Part II v The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeousie

I was just kidding. Besides, if I really planned on bitch slapping you, I'd have to find you, and that could prove rather difficult.
