Kathryn Bigelow's Point Break

Oh my god.
I love this film.

Sure, it's cheesy for the 90s vibe it has, the somewhat ludicrous plot, the somewhat ludicrous character motivations.

But when it kicks into gear it is a thing of beautiful action cinema.

I always love when action movies build up the plot
Enough to make the action sequences seem more organic in how they stem from the plot itself. I think Point Break is a wonderful example.

Sure it has some seriously cheesy moments but the pure testosterone and stylistic filmmaking from Bigelow make up for any faults IMO.

What an outrageously entertaining film. Please no
One mention the remake.

Also, I think of Hot Fuzz everytime Johnny Utah shoots his gun up in the air.

Despite Keanu and Busey being the worst casting decisions to play a veteran cop and a rookie/former football star, Bigelows pacing and camera shots with Swayzes magnetic charisma carried it throughout.

I dont know who Patrick Swayze pissed off in Hollywood, but he should have been a huge star.

Swayze I think got his due diligence in Hollywood, you don't think he was a star?

Keanu is pretty rough in parts with dialogue delivery I agree

One of the best action films ever, in my opinion, and the on screen charisma btw keanu and patrick is a must watch, amazing score aswell and direction, a major recommendation, love this film
