awwwwwwwwwww, howard the duck! we OWN that movie ... it's on VHS somewhere ...

i love and still love most of the 80s movies, i just don't know most of their names any more. if i ever did ...

they captured an innocence and spoke to the central fun/angst we all still feel. that's where i got my taste for cheesy high school flicks where the underdog struggles to get understood, get a date, prove themselves to their peers, and the stuckups or enemies get their comuppance in the end.

so i still watch the modern versions of these, like "bring it on" and "stick it."

crazed out movie freak
Ok, The crapiest, but yet so stupid it's funny movie is No Retreat No Surrender. Check out a young Jean Claude Van Dame trying to play a Russian karate enforcer...Priceless

"Stick with me kids, and you'll never go hungry" to funny

mr. fong-thank you for this post!!
'Just One Of the Guys: This movie wreaks of the 80's. Typical teenage highscool 80's flick. Big dumb jerk Jocks, freaky lizard nerd guys, and sweet geeky boy who gets the girl. Oh yeah, and the girl who dresses up like a dude, she looks like the karate kid when shes a he. its funny! Best part of this movie is the main characters younger brother who is obbsessed with sex and getting laid. I seen this movie too many times for my own good i think.'

i completely forgot about this movie but as soon as i read your post i started laughing what a classic i too watch it anytime it shows up on tv. ahh memories right. lol.

why do 80s movies have to be 'guilty pleasures' just b/c we have or like to think we have better standards now and expect more from our movies blah blah i will not feel guilty for loving this movies! haha

Any of John Hughes films.
absolutely goes w/o saying
