Ed Tv
One of these things is not like the others.

Plenty of great movies there, and nice to see some love for The Brood. Which Solaris?
Tarkovsy from the spelling.

The Brood is a great movie IMHO. I think of it as the one Cronenberg made the bridge between body and mind in a complete way.

Solyaris, the original.

Ed Tv is very much like 1984 but not on a political level. I find it to strike at our voyeur side while dehumanizing the object of the audiences focus.

In this regard it says a lot, IMHO.

_____ is the most important thing in my life…
Naked Lunch is not one you see often mentioned. I never realized talking anus was something I would have ever seen.

Then you should watch "Society" [1989] for a real treat

Naked Lunch is amazing movie from an amazing book.

The most loathsome of all goblins
Angel Heart
Mulholland Drive
Twin Peaks fire walk with me
Lost Highway
Dr. Strangelove
Alien
Blade Runner
The 9th Gate
Star Trek - the motion picture
Planet of the Apes [the original]
Beneath the Planet of the Apes
Legend
Robocop 1 and 2
Vertigo
The Birds
The Lost Boys

The Ninth Gate in particular is an incredibly underrated film, and my favorite of Polanski's.

12 Monkeys
Seven
The Others
Planet of the Apes [the original]
One Hour Photo
Shutter Island
Vertigo
The Prestige

Caligula
I hope this is in a "so bad it's good' kind of way.

Under the Skin
Antichrist [Lars von trier]
The WItch [I'll make a special mention to this one because its very recent, though it took me by surprise]
Saw these three listed in a row, and now my best friend is a little devil!

We turned off "Naked Lunch" after 15 minutes I think... Oh well. I can always watch a documentary in the future if I run out of docs.
hehe. It's a very special kind of movie to be truthful. But damn worth it.

Yeah kind of. Caligula is a very interesting historical figure. And the fact that the movie has a lot of porn while Peter O'Toole and Malcolm McDowell are walking about doing their acting makes it exquisite.

Caligula is an interesting historical figure, sure, but the "movie" is trash. It's entertaining in a train wreck kind of way, but that's all.

it can be quite trashy yes {what would one expect from porn movie makers?], still there wouldn't be any easy way on doing a Caligula movie without what made him so infamous. Turning the Senate into a brothel while getting a boner for his own sister is not exactly fitting for children to watch.
