Daniel M - Eyes Wide Shut

I (re)watched Schindler's List. It had been awhile since I had seen this, way before I really started watching films like I do now. That's why I put it on my list. I remember it being a very powerful film before, and it still is. Spielberg doesn't always click with me, but you'd be crazy to say he hasn't made some pretty good films. Schindler's List might be the best of his bunch.

1. Throne of Blood (1957, Akira Kurosawa)
2. Hunger (2008, Steve McQueen)
3. The Secret in Their Eyes (2009, Juan José Campanella)
4. Pink Flamingos (1972, John Waters)
5. Paths of Glory (1957, Stanley Kubrick)
6. Waltz with Bashir (2008, Ari Folman)
7. Alien (1979, Ridley Scott)
8. Don't Look Now (1973, Nicolas Roeg)
9. Man Bites Dog (1992, Rémy Belvaux, André Bonzel, Benoît Poelvoorde)
10. Universal Soldier (1992, Roland Emmerich)

Young Skywalker. Missed you, I have...
Alien

1. Slaughterhouse-Five
2. Rear Window
3. Badlands
4. Adaptation.
5. Children of Men
6. Deadfall
7. Stand Up Guys
8. Seven Psychopaths
9. Half Light
10. Black Swan

The Sunset Limited. Really good one set film. Tommy Lee Jones and Samuel L. Jackson work really well together. Tommy Lee Jones is also showing that he can be a pretty good director too.

Sunset limited didn't do it for me, the subject matter is too played out. I've been a lifelong atheist and I have a born again christian friend, so all of this stuff has already been hashed out over and over again by me personally.

I enjoyed hanna more, although it wasn't fantastic and it was a little predictable it was still an entertaining movie. albeit only 3/5 stars.

1) Argo
2) Cloud Atlas
3) The Devils Own
4) Lincoln
5) Moonrise Kingdom
6) Stand Up Guys
8) Bound
8) Girl, Interrupted
