Favorite Short Movies of 1930-70s?

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
The only one I could think of was made in the last 40 years, and with COVID-19, we could always use more recommendations.

Are you asking about "short movies" like a movie that's only about 90 minutes or less, or "short movies" like shorts that are under 30 minutes?

Try Duck Soup by the Marx Brothers.

While it clocks in at only 69 minutes, it is a masterpiece.

I could think of a ton of B movies that were under 90 minutes, many are just about an hour long. But there's no sense in me randomly posting movie titles that no one will care about...so my best suggestion for short movies is to pick a subject matter you're interest in and use IMDBs advance search

There were a lot of those Cagney (and others) movies that were around 70-80 minutes long, but I don't think they were categorized as "shorts". I've seen a handful in the last 20 years, some good, some bad, and was wanting to compare. Part of this is also trying out something new, as I seem to be in (movie) slumps all the time.
