Thor rocks

I just saw Thor last night, and enjoyed it very much. Good effects good story line, I kinda dug the whole Excalibur meets Superman thing. Chris Hemsworth, was the perfect Thor. My question for any one is, I don't know much about the real back story of Thor how did the movie stand up against the comic book?
