Description:

Shock movie about crimes against humanity committed by the secret police, called Cheka (Cheka SNK RSFSR - Russian Extraordinary Commission to Combat Counter-Revolution and Sabotage), created in 1917 by Lenin's decree. The film is based on the 1923 book by writer Vladimir Notch, and was part of the official selection at the 1992 Cannes Film Festival, in the non-competitive category "Un Certain Regard".

Classic. The dark comedy bits are great, too. Like they fooled him he was on the list as well. It's been years since I watched the film, but I still remember this.
