Apollo 11 IMAX - where in Minnesota?

Tools

I'm very interested in seeing the Apollo 11 documentary in IMAX. I saw the original on TV when i was 6 and would like to see it in a better format.

Unfortunately, I can't figure out where it's showing or if it will ever be shown in Minnesota.

Can someone help me find out where/when Apollo 11 will be shown in IMAX in Minnesota in 2019?

The article from imax.com says that it was out for one week only staring March 1st, so it looks like you already missed it.

"The highly-anticipated documentary, Apollo 11, will be digitally re-mastered in IMAX and will release exclusively in IMAX theatres for one week only beginning March 1, 2019."

I originally thought that, too, but then I read it as a "1-week exclusive" in IMAX with regular format showings allowed following that.

I had found an article listing a May release but no mention of locations, dates, etc.

According to that article, (dated 4 months before the IMAX article), there are two different versions. There's a 40-minute version that is/was distributed to institutions, (I assume they mean schools, museums, etc.), and a 90-minute version that will be distributed to theaters. You might want to check with any museums near you to find out if they have any information about the 40-minute version.
