Guilty Pleasures?

Bright light. Bright light. Uh oh.
How does someone who goes out of their way to watch so many different movies develop a genre which they don't like? What causes such an occurrence and at what point did you fully understand the truth that you dislike "romances"?

I like all the slapstick comedies that arent that great of movies overall, but make you laugh (IE Black Sheep, ect). Also

The Great Outdoors
Funny Farm
Vegas Vacation
Waterworld
The Postman
The Arrival
Gone is 60 Seconds
The Rocketeer
Jewel of the Nile
Terminal Velocity
Cliffhanger
The Chase
The Three Musketeers
Young Guns
Judge Dredd
Assasins

Just a few.

I don't feel guilty about any movies I watch.

But I'm sure there's plenty others would be ashamed of and say I should be guilty about.
TBH, I think that's how most people feel about their choices, Shempy. It's just all about loving crappy films that you know are crappy and that, if you didn't love them, would probably tear to pieces.

Gigli.

Yep; seriously. I really can't explain it, but there's something about this film that really reaches out to me. I've watched it about three times in an effort to shake the feeling, but nope--I guess I really do just like it.

I wouldn't say I tear movies to pieces, but I guess I do tear the Transformers sequel up, and if I liked it that would be a guilty one... but i do ineed hate the movie.

A friend was embarrassed about liking Musicals, and I was like "name them, I bet i like them too"

Hey, inthecorner! Where'd your post go about Billy the Kid vs. Dracula and it's companion piece?

Billy The Kid Vs. Dracula - This was filmed back to back with 'Jesse James Meets Frankenstein's Daughter' in the same Simi Valley Ranch by William Beaudine.

The film centers on Dracula's plot to convert Billy The Kid's fiancee Betty Bentley into his vampire wife. Dracula impersonates Bentley's uncle and schemes to make her his vampire bride.

It's not a movie I'm ashamed to admit I like, or feel 'guilty' about liking, but, it is one of those it's so bad it's good films. This here works for those interested in the clash of genres or to those who are just plain curious.

The whole film is extremely silly in feel and tone, but, it is fun to watch if you're in the right frame of mind.

Yeah. Those two movies you mentioned above are probably worth a legit
, but if I start watching them and go along with how amateurish, yet mind-bending they are, I can give them camp ratings of
.

What movie do you love even though it is generally considered awful.

I'll start:

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift

I will watch it back to back sometimes if I am bored.

My total chick movie: Tuck Everlasting

The first three seasons of Buffy (I was devistated when Angel left)

And of course the original Buffy

Just putting it out there, I was called a freak growing up reading the Anne Rice books and am NOT a fan of Twilight.

It's just such an innocent romance....if its even considered a romance....I always fall in love with people I'll never know. He was one of them

I think that's part of it's charm. At first glance that's what it seems to be, but it's not (that's Charmed in my experience) it's far more intelligent than just mindless entertainment aimed at teenagers. However, if that's all you want to take from it, there's more than enough there for you and it's happy to give it to you, especially in those first 3 or 4 seasons.
