The best black and white movies...in the modern age

Not sure if this has been done before, apologies if it has. But what are the best black and white movies ever made in the true era of modern cinema?

By modern cinema, I mean say from 1985 onwards....Ones that spring to my mind are:

'Schindler's List'

'Nebraska'

'The man who wasn't there'

I liked Dead Man but didn't love it. It was all a bit too spiritual for me. Good shout there though.

The Artist is the first that comes to mind. Watched it again recently, holds up pretty well (better than I would have thought, at least).

The first movie that popped into my head when I saw the title of this thread was The Man Who Wasn't There....absolutely exquisite black and white photography, though I totally agree regarding The Artist. i think Manhattan deserves mention here as well.

La Haine is also good.

Pi is a fascinating first foray for a now fan-favorite filmmaker. A Field in England is arguably Ben Wheatley’s most... Ben Wheatley work yet. Good Night, and Good Luck is an underrated gem.

Ed Wood, the peak of Burton’s career.

Yeah, I liked it actually although its been a while since I last watched it. Good if you like Joy Division.

Clerks (1994), The Addiction (1995), Pi (1998), The General (1998), Good Night and Good Luck (2005), and Sin City (2005) (Which was probably filmed in color and done B&W in post).
