Cast: Robert De Niro, Chazz Palminteri, Lillo Brancato
Genre: Crime, Drama and Romance

A great tale that takes place in the 60’s about a father that is a hardworking bus driver trying to raise his kid right and staying away from trouble especially when the kid is taken in control by neighborhood mobster Sonny. This film did a good job with the story, acting and well directed by Robert De Niro.

"The saddest thing in life is wasted talent." Lorenzo played by Robert De Niro

#8.

Jurassic Park (1993)
Director: Steven Spielberg
Writers: Michael Crichton (novel), Michael Crichton (screenplay)
Cast: Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum
Genre: Action, Adventure and Sci-Fi
Runtime: 2 Hours and 7 Minutes
Rated PG-13

A movie that shows us an exciting Sci-fi adventure into the dinosaur world, seeing all kinds of dinosaurs which was cool to see. The CGI special effects from the dinosaurs were great and good characters in the movie as well. Imo, this film one of the best theme songs in cinema.

"Welcome to Jurassic Park." – John Hammond played by Richard Attenborough

#7.

Billy Madison (1995)
Director: Tamra Davis
Writers: Tim Herlihy, Adam Sandler
Cast: Adam Sandler, Darren McGavin, Bridgette Wilson-Sampras
Genre: Comedy
Runtime: 1 Hour and 28 Minutes
Rated PG-13

One of Sandler's funniest movies imo as he plays this immature, lazy guy that makes a deal with his father that he must complete school all over again from grades 1-12 to take over the family fortune. I find this all silly and enjoyable to watch as Sandler don’t seem to disappoint to make this a cool movie.

"You ain't cool, unless you pee your pants" – Billy Madison played by Adam Sandler

#19.

Fear (1996)
Director: James Foley
Writer: Christopher Crowe
Cast: Mark Wahlberg, Reese Witherspoon, William Petersen
Genre: Drama and Thriller
Runtime: 1 Hour and 37 Minutes
Rated R

A very pleasant thriller movie about a young teenage girl dates this guy that she thought was this handsome and charming guy but finding out throughout the movie that he has this dark side of him that makes him out to be this psychotic boyfriend as Mark Wahlberg does a good job at playing the part in the film.

"It could of all been different, Mr. Walker. You should have allowed nature to take its course. In the end, it will anyway. SO LET ME IN THE F****N' HOUSE!" – David McCall played by Mark Wahlberg

One of my favorite parts in the movie - Wild Horses by The Sundays

(I tried to get a better video but of course Youtube has that age restriction crap on to block the video and make you watch it on their site)
movie that suffers from having an excellent trailer but a rather bland and uneventful proceedings, another movie that suffers from this aswell is The virgin Suicides

#6.

Dumb and Dumber (1994)
Directors: Peter Farrelly, Bobby Farrelly (uncredited)
Writers: Peter Farrelly, Bennett Yellin
Cast: Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels, Lauren Holly
Genre: Comedy
Runtime: 1 Hour and 47 Minutes
Rated PG-13

One of the first comedies I have seen when I started watching movies and good performances by Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey for making the movie funny. If you are looking for some laughs this is the film, filled with jokes by these two dumb and pathetic men making fools out of themselves.

"Just when I thought you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this... and totally redeem yourself!" – Lloyd played by Jeff Daniels

#5.

Heat (1995)
Director: Michael Mann
Writer: Michael Mann
Cast: Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Val Kilmer
Genre: Crime, Drama and Thriller
Runtime: 2 Hours and 50 Minutes
Rated R

Al Pacino plays the good cop that’s on the hunt to track down bank robbers which Robert De Niro plays as one of them. it's nice to see these two work together in a movie like this one and this film running for almost three hours, it was a good movie to watch.

“Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat, if you feel the heat around the corner.” - Neil McCauley played by Robert De Niro

#13.

The Truman Show (1998)
Director: Peter Weir
Writer: Andrew Niccol
Cast: Jim Carrey, Ed Harris, Laura Linney
Genre: Comedy and Drama
Runtime: 1 Hour and 43 Minutes
Rated PG

As we get to the end of the film, I can see the pain that Carrey's character goes through after finding out that his life was all a lie and just some tv show about him is heartbreaking, if I was him I would want out immediately just for the sake of it so I can have my own private life.

"Good Morning, in case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening and good night." - Truman Burbank played by Jim Carrey
Amazing movie...Peter Yates and Jim Carrey were robbed of Oscar nominations...it just gets better every time I watch it.

#6.

Dumb and Dumber (1994)
Directors: Peter Farrelly, Bobby Farrelly (uncredited)
Writers: Peter Farrelly, Bennett Yellin
Cast: Jim Carrey, Jeff Daniels, Lauren Holly
Genre: Comedy
Runtime: 1 Hour and 47 Minutes
Rated PG-13

I have never gotten the appeal of this movie...it's stupid and doesn't make me laugh, but I know I'm, in the minority here.

"""" Hulk Smashhhh."""
I have never gotten the appeal of this movie...it's stupid and doesn't make me laugh, but I know I'm, in the minority here.
I find it hilarious me, but I do have a childish mentality. I love the burger scene, has me in stitches every time.

#4.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)
Director: James Cameron
Writers: James Cameron, William Wisher
Cast: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Edward Furlong
Genre: Action and Sci-Fi
Runtime: 2 Hours and 17 Minutes
Rated R

An awesome action packed sequel that gives you a different story of the terminator which in this one Arnold plays the good guy and must protect John and Sarah from this more advanced and powerful cyborg (Robert Patrick) trying to kill John Connor.

"Hasta la vista, baby." Terminator played by Arnold Schwarzenegger

#3.

American Pie (1999)
Directors: Paul Weitz, Chris Weitz (uncredited)
Writer: Adam Herz
Cast: Jason Biggs, Chris Klein, Thomas Ian Nicholas
Genre: Comedy
Runtime: 1 Hour and 35 Minutes
Rated R

A movie about four teenage boys trying to make a pact to lose their virginity before they graduate which they have their prom coming up. The film is filled with laughter, rude jokes and the storyline between Jim and Michelle was cool to watch and made me want to see what happens next as we go into the next two films.

"This One Time, At Band Camp." - Michelle played by Alyson Hannigan

Terminator is a great choice. American Pie had no right to be on this list tho.
It may not belong on a popular favorite 90's movies list but since I like those teenage high school movies, I feel it does belong on here, atleast it's not #1

#2.

Scream (1996)
Director: Wes Craven
Writer: Kevin Williamson
Cast: Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette
Genre: Horror and Mystery
Runtime: 1 Hour and 51 Minutes
Rated R

The horror series that started to revive the slasher genre and does an awesome job on making this a thrilling teenage horror movie with some humor in it. This movie pretty much gives the other horror slasher movies a slap on the side of the head for being dumb and showing us on how it should be done when surviving a horror movie, but making some silly mistakes along the way.

"Never say you'll be right back, because you won't be right back" Randy Meeks played by Jamie Kennedy

#1.

Goodfellas (1990)
Director: Martin Scorsese
Writers: Nicholas Pileggi (book), Nicholas Pileggi (screenplay)
Cast: Robert De Niro, Ray Liotta, Joe Pesci
Genre: Biography, Crime and Drama
Runtime: 2 Hours and 26 Minutes
Rated R

The greatest mob movie ever made imo and the cast did an outstanding job in this movie, especially Ray Liotta, Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci. The film sure had some good scenes in it and I liked how the ending starts to wrap things up and how the theme song was playing as it gives you that feeling like some serious sh*t may go down.
"Never rat on your friends and always keep your mouth shut." – James Conway played by Robert De Niro

– A good song when it plays near the end of the film

The 90's decade was a fun experience for films, especially when I grew up with them. I hope you all enjoyed my 30 favorite 90's Movies thread.

Next up, I'll be doing a favorite 2000's movies list, this is going to be an interesting one to do.

Victim of The Night
Terminator is a great choice. American Pie had no right to be on this list tho.
I would put American Pie above almost every movie on this list so far.
I can tell you, maybe you were around, I dunno, but when American Pie came out it blew peoples' minds. Many considered it not just the best comedy of the year but the best comedy in years, a return to form for the genre and a pushing forward of the genre to new territory.
