RIP Denise Nickerson "Violet Beauregarde"

Denise Nickerson, who played the original Violet Beauregarde in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory died last night after she was taken off life support after suffering a stroke over a year ago. She was 62 years old. (Variety)






After Wonka, she joined PBS's The Electric Company for one season and did a few more acting jobs before retiring in the late 70s.

So sorry to hear about this...I remember first noticing her on Dark Shadows a few years before she had her 15 minutes as Violet Beauregard. RIP.
