He does too many bad movies just for money, like Knowing.

Rate should be given for his skills not for the reason he makes movies.
I think Nicolas Cage deserves more, esepecially after what he did in Leaving Las Vegas.

Nicholas Cage - The man ate a cockroach for a movie...he gets the highest rating.

You think he demonstrated skill in Knowing? What about Ghost Rider, Con Air, National Treasure, The Rock, and Bangkok Dangerous? Every actor is allowed one bad film, but no one gets six.

The reason he isn't lower is because he does have some good roles, but he's a pretty one dimensional actor.

I think Joaquin Phoenix is probably one of the best actors working today. He really jumps into a role and becomes the character and he's been in a lot of underrated, yet really solid films. I'm glad he never became a mega box office star as then he'd be stuck making pop tart movies.

I'm not sure who's the best actress working today? I like Kate Winslet alot.

Yeah top 10 'still active' actors for me as well.
As for actresses, haven't thought about that yet, top of my head; Eva Green (Penny Dreadful) and Robin Wright (House of Cards).
