And you've liked maybe 5
It is my least favorite genre by far. My ballot will contain at least 3 movies that I hadn't seen prior to the announcement of the countdown, so all this effort hasn't been entirely in vain.

As we get closer to the deadline, a musical question... What is your favourite song from a musical?
Tough question I'll have to think about it.. in the meanwhile some last minute campaigning..

Just one??? I don't think it's possible for me to choose just one favorite song from a musical. But I might be able to pick my favorite song from some specific musicals.

"But, Mr. Adams" from 1776 (1972):

"Once Upon a December" from Anastasia (1997):

"A Million Dreams" from The Greatest Showman (2017):

"Hello Again" from The Jazz Singer (1980):

"Pure Imagination" from Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory (1971):

Putting aside the entirety of Purple Rain, there aren't many songs from musicals that I listen to outside of the films themselves, but the following come to mind:

"Origin of Love" from Hedwig and the Angry Inch

"Sweet Transvestite" from The Rocky Horror Picture Show

"Glasgow (No Place Like Home)" from Wild Rose

"Always Remember Us This Way" from A Star is Born (2018)

"When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings" from The Ballad of Buster Scruggs

Lee Marvin in Paint Your Wagon's "Wanderin' Star" is great.

I also really like Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady's "Wouldn't it be Loverly"

Both are great numbers and sober reminders, but still clinging on to hope that there is a chance at dreams or better times in spite of the cold hard reality in life that most people are not good and most people will never get to a place of their dreams or of peace.

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
I'm trying to watch some of the Disney animated musicals that I haven't seen yet. I've seen most of the older classic ones, and the well-known ones, but I've missed some of the lesser known ones, like The Rescuers, Tarzan, Hercules, Pocahontas, etc.

Are there any that anyone would recommend?
Or are there any other animated musicals that aren't Disney movies that you would recommend watching?

Thanks for the recommendations.

I'm planning to watch Hercules tonight because I heard the song "Go the Distance" on one of the singing reality TV shows, (I think it was "American Idol"), and I loved the song, so I'm hoping to love the movie too.

I recently watched Tangled and Encanto, and I liked both movies. Tangled is the more likely of the two to make my list (if I can find room for it).

I've heard the song "Colors of the Wind" from Pocahontas, and I love the song, so hopefully I'll love the movie too.

The rest of those movies are complete blind spots for me, so I'll try to watch them before finalizing my list.

Victim of The Night
Putting aside the entirety of Purple Rain, there aren't many songs from musicals that I listen to outside of the films themselves, but the following come to mind:

"Origin of Love" from Hedwig and the Angry Inch
Interesting. My big song from Hedwig is Midnight Radio. Followed by Wig In A Box.
