Considering I grew up in the 90s anything with Vicca in it was tantalising. My first feature length film was the Uranus Experiment, so I remember it fondly!

I think it would be considered "pink", but the movie "Blind Beast" is pretty good, but also drags in the middle.

it's kinda sad though, erotic movies could be so much better than they are. Normally their plot suffers because the focus is just the skin, but if i were in the movie business i'd totally try to make a GOOD porno, because well, they don't really exist, hehe

I know this isn't really what the OP is asking for, but I don't know if I'll ever be able to watch Deep Throat. Just knowing the story behind the film saddens me way too much and would make me feel really dirty and awful if I watched it. The way Linda Lovelace got treated was very brutal and unfair.

What I mean is, is that people often choose to watch porn that is poorly shot and very poorly acted, with no real thought behind it more so it seems.

Yeah it's almost as if their interest in pornography isn't driven by aesthetics or artistic enrichment or something.

When you watch porn and think how badly it's shot, it means two things: First, you're a film buff. Second, you're not horny enough.

Well it's not like it has to be a masterpiece or anything but they can make more of an effort than shooting it all in one take only, and with people who cannot give a convincing performance at all.

Well, if you think about it, porn is full of master takes. That's quality filmmaking, isn't it?

Only if the actors and director can carry a master take all the way through, which they can not it seems and have awkward moments.

How many anecdotal encounters with friends who watch porn? How many conversations about those viewings? How many complain about the lack of artistic narrative during their porn viewing experience? What is their purpose for porn watching? Is it streamed or hard copy? (a lil giggle there) Is there a registry or national database to track statistical trends? I would bet there's a correlation with tidal heights and Leonids showers. Actually, that's quite deep and meaningful! A cosmic-level sense of awe, as the universe sprays all over the earth's atmosphere. That's hot. Literally incinerating on impact.

Perhaps using the Arby's quality porn to Red lobster quality was not the best analogy though. A lot of people seem to prefer Jackass level quality porn instead of Mad Max: Fury Road quality porn, if that's a better analogy.
