This title does not pertain to one title in general....but classics that are mentioned numerous times throughout my life and on this forum....that I have just not got around to seeing! I would also like for you guys to hit me with some classic titles, because I am pretty sure I have not seen them.

My first movie classic that I have yet to have seen is....

I think when I found out about Ulysses with Kirk Douglas I wondered why I'd never heard about it or seen it before. I love it, and it's one of the only adaptations of The Odyssey where the Sirens are included – shame we don't see them.

Is that the one where he asks to be tied to the mast so he can hear the sirens, See?

Yeah, it is. He gets the rest of the crew to temporarily block their ears up with wax so they're protected. I don't know how I missed it when I was younger but I was surprised to find that the Sirens appear in the story of Jason as well. In that situation they have Orpheus on board the Argo, so he just plays his music to repel the deadly song.

I saw it when I was a kid. My mum had a thing for Kirk.

Jason and the Argonauts was one of my faves but it gave me nightmares, and also earned me the nic Gorgon because of my insanely curly hair and death stare.

Are you planning on watching them and posting about them here?

It was on today – fantastic film.
Taras Bulba was on here recently with my darling Yul. OMG the cgi of the horse jumping the canyon was hysterically bad. I loved that as a kid.

Holy crap the army terrified me for years.

It's great that Anthony Quinn's in it as well, and I like the way Silvana Mangano plays Circe and Penelope, as it's like Circe's just chosen that form to draw Ulysses in.

I think I was okay with Jason but Clash of the Titans was scary. Calibos probably more so that Medusa actually. And Neil McCarthy's such a loveable bloke .

I've just remembered the Hallmark version of Jason and the Argonauts – I didn't hate it and it did have some good parts. The children of the dragon's teeth were very cleverly done.

The recent Clash of the Titns? Mads was great but I thought it was pretty bad, although I've seen it several times.
