Yikes, this doesn’t sound romantic. 
It's probably more of a LGBTQ film than a romance one actually. Xavier Dolan. Maybe a better one of his to go for would be Matthias et Maxime.

And also, when I saw on this page that you'd referenced a Xavier Dolan film I went back to see what it was and in my head I was like "Please don't tell me he wrote Tom at the Farm LOL.
