Movies you didn't know were remakes/reboots until after you saw them

The Bounty (1984) - when I first went to see it, I didn't know it was the "Mutiny on the Bounty" story, and then I didn't know it had been made at least twice before.

King of Kings (1961) - didn't know this was a remake of a classic silent film made by Cecil B. DeMille until I saw the original much later.

The silent version from 1927 is an absolutely beautiful film, btw. One minor difference is the 1961 version dropped the "The" from the title. The official name of the '27 version is "The King of Kings".

WARNING: "Spoiler about silent version:" spoilers below
Toward the end of the 1927 version which is black and white, of course, the screen turns to color with Jesus resurrection! This was over a decade before the Wizard of Oz (1939) used the b&w film turning to color.

Welcome to the human race...
Here I was expecting the first smart-alec answer to be The Force Awakens...

You mean me? Kei's cousin?
I'll bet at least a few of you guys didn't know James Cameron's True Lies and Leonard Nimoy's Three Men and a Baby were remakes of French movies.
