Noirvember

In honor of Noirvember, I just rewatched The Last Seduction .

This is DEFINITELY one that required a second viewing. Wow. I thought it was excellent the first time, but this time I was blown away. Great noir film!

Tomorrow night I'm gonna go with House of Games (1987) never seen it but I've heard great things. Has anybody seen it?
House of Games (1987) is amazing! Definitely watch it! Also, check out another Mamet/Mantegna team up, Homicide (1991) - great film.

No mention of Dial M for Murder?
Dial M for Murder isn’t really a noir- it’s more of a creaky mystery. Not a fan of LA Confidential- it felt like a costume drama in that it looked like a noir but lacked the feel and core of a noir.

Leave Her to Heaven is a really chilling noir- all the more so because it’s in colour. Double Indemnity is just classic. I also love Strange Days as an example of neo noir.

What's the diff between Noir and Neo Noir?
