Sir Sean Connery's love-child
1. Raging Bull.
2. White men can't jump.
3. Slapshot.
4. Escape to Victory.
5. Rocky.
6. Caddyshack.
7. Major League.
8. Le Mans
9. Bull Durham.
10. Rollerball-the original with James Caan, not the anti-christ version with Chris Klein.
Leave the good films alone, most remakes are crap, so are dodgy sequels
Caddyshack 2, Slapshot 2, WHY????
Looking forward to the up coming trilogy " Goal ", I have yet to see a realistic football/soccer movie, Escape to Victory is a nostalgia thing, good Xmas movie, but the footie's crap in it. Sly Stallone can't act, and he's even worse as a goalie!!!

Can't believe I forgot Kingpin, this is as funny as Caddyshack and White men..., is bowls a sport, make up your own minds on that one.

Just watched Million Dollar Baby, and was impressed as usual with Clint's latest offering. Seeing Clint shadow-box also brought back memories of two earlier films;
Every which way but loose 1978 and its sequel
Any which way you can 1980.
More of a comedy, but Clint plays Philo Beddoe a car mechanic and bare knuckle boxer.
Both of these movies are worth checking out, especially as Clint plays opposite an orangutan called Clyde for extra comic effect.
Personally I prefer Any which way you can, it envolves the most incompitent motorcycle gang ever, " The Black Widows ".

I really want to throw Slapshots in there, but my 3 favs are:

Rocky
Hoosiers
The Natural

Honorable mention: Slapshots, Miracle, Rocky II, Raging Bull, I really want to see Cinderella Man.

Space Jam is my favorite sports movie due to its unrelenting realism.

This isn't set in stone, but these are probably it...
1. Raging Bull
2. The Sandlot
3. Rocky

I've never been a huge sports movie nut, but these are some quality flicks, although only Raging Bull would be considered a classic in my book.

1. Raging Bull - One of my all-time favorite movies
2. Chariots of Fire - The only track movie I've ever seen
3. Friday Night Lights - I thought it was far superior to Remember the Titans

Writer/director Robert Towne has two terrific ones: the Steve Prefontaine biopic Without Limits (1998) and Personal Best (1982).

I was about to recommend Personal Best, but as usual, Holden beat me to it....

I haven't heard of either of the movies Holden suggested, but since he says they're good I'll watch them. If I can find them

The Longest Yard

Friday Night Lights

Mean Machine

Happy Gilmore

Juwanna Mann

Million Dollar Baby
