Ten i want to try who i haven't seen a film from:

Apichatpong Weerasethakul
Louis Malle
Claude Chabrol
Bela Tarr
Jacques Rivette
Vitorio De Sica
DW Griffith
Lucio Fulci
Hirokazu Koreeda
Edward Yang

This might just do nobody any good.
Orson Welles, mainly. Citizen Kane, obviously, but I generally enjoy Shakespeare adaptation so I'll check out his Macbeth, Falstaff and Othello.

Peckinpah is another big one. Wong Kar-wai and Truffaut as well.

great post... Aki Kaurismaki was my latest, but I saw all the movies I could find.. I saw a great Herzog "Stroczek" but didn't like any of his movies (though I did see Grizzly Man a long time ago).

Stanley Kubrick is probably the biggest director I haven't seen anything from

Of some directors, I would like to see more.

He's not for everybody. A taste for his work you might never get,
But I promise you you'll see imagery that you'll never forget.

L'Atalante is his only feature film. He made three short films too. Haven't seen anything by him yet.
his name (and l atalante) been placed so high, kinda curious about

Considering my viewing habits there's a lot I have only watched one or a couple films from and I should really get into, but from the ones I haven't touched yet:

Bernardo Bertolucci
Elia Kazan
Erich von Stroheim
Jacques Tati
Jacques Rivette
John Frankenheimer
Louis Malle
Mel Brooks
Ousmane Sembene
Wim Wenders
