Like i said i love kalatozov, and his epic wartime melodrama puts Douglas Sirk to shame.

7. London Orbital (2002)

Iain Sinclair and Chris Petit make an incredible documentary about a seemingly mundane motorway.

6. The Passenger (1975)

Michelangelo Antonioni's masterpiece, The Passenger is derivé put to narrative.

5. The Mirror (1975)

The one Tarkovsky I teased, this film is like James Joyce onscreen, super personal, super engaging, super complicated.

4. London (1994)

The first film in the epic Robinson Trilogy, Patrick Keiller really outdoes himself with this fictional psychogeographic documentary.

3. Hour of the Furnaces (1968)

The perfect revolutionary film, a community effort made by working people and allies all over Argentina, this film was excellently documented by key contributors Solanas & Getino in their essay Towards a Third Cinema.

2. The Falls (1980)

Peter Greenaway's encyclopedia of the VUE (Violent Unknown Event), absolutely hilarious, full of bird humour.

I was watching basketball 5 minutes before seeing this, and was thinking how I wanted to do my Top 100 (I made one 4 years ago, but have seen so much since).. I've tried a handful of times in the last year, but its too difficult, and I'm constantly watching movies that might rank in my Top 100.

I haven't seen most of the films on your list - and of the few I have seen the only one I really like is Persona - but welcome back.
