Coronavirus

Coworker came to work with a cough all last week and now everyone in the building is infected. (There's only 6 of us)

I'm currently on day three of feeling like crud.

Damn. Get well soon.

(That's the closest I found to a yeti themed get well soon card. )

So it finally got me… after so long, that damned covid…

I’ve heard of both people with and without symptoms. Unfortunately I was one of those that got sick. Not I-am-dying kind of sick, but like a pretty bad flu though.

I had both fever, severe headache, muscle pain, fatigue, sore throat, coughing, loss of taste and smell…… felt like I had it all, man.

Anyway, it’s been a week now (stated Sunday evening/night) and I finally feel like I’m about to come out the other side. Been a real bummer being down for that long. Came at a bad time too due to lots of things going on in my life. Ah well, that’s how it is sometimes. Hopefully I’ll also get out of it with no long term effects.

Take care of yourself MM, get rest and watch movies

Sorry to hear MM, hopefully you'll be back to good health in no time.

I read way too many stories about young people who went to Florida for Spring Break and/or Covid parties. I didn't think there were that many stupid people, but I guess I was wrong.

I remember reading one story about a teenager, (I think he was from Connecticut), who went to Spring Break, and when he came home, his father refused to let him back in the house. His father had told him not to go, but he went anyway. The teenager's grandparents lived in the house, and the father refused to take a chance that the teen could bring the virus into the house.
Eight months after my post, my sister was discovered unconscious on her living room floor. It was discovered that she had a brain tumor that no one's ever survived before. They removed as much as they could. They did radiation. All of the above affected her motor skills in a very bad way. She had to go into a rehab facility. I called, worried to death about Covid patients being in the place. I told them that the doctor said we had at most 1 to 3 years left to spend together. I told them the last thing I wanted to worry about was her catching Covid. They swore they had everyone guarded over very carefully and a small wing for anyone who became ill. In the end, the entire place had Covid. They did not tend to her, moving her around, as they should. In the blink of an eye, she had pneumonia. She passed away roughly 3 days later. In that year, we lost my sister, my uncle, our dog, our last two cats, which one was 22 years old, and two family friends. By the time the holidays came around, not only did I not want to celebrate anything, but I sat around paranoid. I was waiting for the phone to ring with more bad news. I was not myself, that year, or the next. When 2024 finally pulled around, I told myself that I'd need to get into a better place for my family. Thank God it's almost over.

So sorry to hear all this. Condolences from my family.

What an awful series of events. I'm so sorry for your various losses, especially those in your family.
