I'm actually surprised by how much I liked that Sarah McLachlan song. And it's not like I've never heard it before. Especially as a Canadian, that album and all of its songs were everywhere in the 90's. But I never considered it as much more than pleasant background noise. But with headphones, there is so much going on in the texture of that song, the writing and production, her voice, her lyrics.

Compared to the similarly ubiquitous 90's Canadian girl (Alanis) when I happened upon one of her songs yesterday, one that I had once liked quite a bit, found it had aged terribly.

I probably should revisit Tumbling Towards Ecstasy in earnest one of these days.

Can I nominate for Round 4:

Anouk - Nobody's Wife

It's funny this popped up, as recently I saw a "40 most well-produced records" list, and that Sarah McLachlan record was on the list.
