Hockey Playoffs:

Lost in never never land
I thought I would start a thread for the upcoming NFL playoffs. I don't know how interested the community is here in hockey, but what the hell, I figure it can't hurt.

The Matchups for the first round are:

Boston (8) vs. Montreal (1)
Ottawa (7) vs. Pittsburgh (2)
Philadelphia (6) vs. Washington (3)
New York R (5) vs. New Jersey (4)
^^ East

Nashville (8) vs. Detroit (1)
Calgary (7) vs. San Jose (2)
Colorado (6) vs. Minnesota (3)
Dallas (5) vs. Anaheim (4)

I'm from Minnesota, so you can probably guess which team I am pulling for (hint, it isn't those #!@$%@$#% from Detroit).

Go Pens! Possibly the best assembly of young talent on any sports franchise of the four major sports in America. Just how good are they? When the best player in the world, Sidney Crosby, went down with an injury, our #2 guy went on a ridiculous scoring spree and should finished second in the MVP voting. Two #1 overall picks (Crosby and Fleury) and two #2 overall picks (Malkin and Staal).

Needless to say, people are pretty pysched about this team arouind here.

The Pens are the team that I realistically see winning it all. From the west Detroit or San Jose are most likely to come out (San Jose has been hotter recently), and I think that the Pens youth will help them stay fresher longer in the playoffs.
