Oh, missed parenthood’s placing from earlier.

I’m fine with a tie

And clearly I know nothing. 🤔

Guess Future wins unless Parenthood pulls off an upset.

Parenthood came in nineth I screwed up the numbers while trying to buzz through this.

Yeah, I somehow missed that post.

Can you say who nominated what?
Also, are we supposed to vote who the correct winner is? I would vote Princess Bride if so.

No you're supposed to decide if I have the right to cast a ballot. Because apparently breaking ties that never affected the winner was some horrible rule violation. So now you've got a tie Back to the Future/The Princess Bride with my ballot or a clear winner in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

@Siddon please post all of our voting ballots, (like I did in the 20th HoF)

Yeah I'm not going to do that, people can post their own ballots and re-veil there own nominations that's been done in dozens of other Hall of Fames.

My Ballot

1. A Fish Called Wanda
2. The Princess Bride (My Nomination)
3. Back to the Future
4. Planes Trains and Automobiles (My Nomination)
5. When Harry Met Sally
6. Annie Hall
7. Who Framed Roger Rabbit
8. The Jerk
9. Broadcast News
10. Parenthood
11. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

12. After Hours

13. The Blues Brothers

14. Real Genius

The trick is not minding
I’ld like to allow your vote to count, which would end with a tie. I’m fine with that.
The issue that’s at hand here is whether or not you voted in a manner to actively change the results after having prior knowledge of how the order would be, which is tantamount to tampering with the results, which I will be honest here, I’m against.
As the host, shouldn’t you feel that you shouldn’t be able to influence it in such a manner?

My ballot:
1 Annie Hall
2 Back to the Future
3 The Jerk
4 The Blues Brothers
5 After Hours
6 Who Framed Roger Rabbit s
7 Planes, Trains, and Automobiles
8 Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
9 When Harry Met Sally
10 A Fish Called Wanda
11 Parenthood
12 The Princess Bride
13 Broadcast News
14 Real Genius

And thanks Ed I'm now in a very awkward situation with my ballot...damn you Ed
See I go the opposite direction and try and vote last to break ties, I also work slowly so I can keep the updates going and keep up with the stragglers. I use my reviews as save points.
Yeah I wasn't really able to break this tie, because it did involve the winner.
...I'll post two sets of results if you want...one with my ballot and one without, and you guys can decide which winner you want.
You have readily admitted to using forehand knowledge of other people's voting ballots to alter your own ballot, so that you can effect the outcome of the HoF. That's not allowed in any kind of voting procedures.

Thereforth I say: your own voting ballot is disqualified.

Right...well except for when the legislative branch of the government has a tie in the Senate and then the representative from the executive break the tie.

Also in a caucus situation any candidate who receives less than 15% of the vote then has to join a different group.

And also how Presidential balloting used to work

You'd have a great point if you weren't completely wrong.

Also seeing as how you choose to speak for every person that has ever run this hall you clearly withheld information and therefore defrauded me of time and labor.

Pretty sure he was referring to the voting procedure of the HOF.
I noticed you haven’t responded to the other quotes of his where you readily admitted to changing your votes.
Using the above references you provided doesn’t agreed his main concern and overal point

...I noticed you haven’t responded to the other quotes of his where you readily admitted to changing your votes.
Just for the record, I wasn't asking Siddon to address those quotes. I used those quotes in my post so that the other members could see why I was voting the way I voted to disqualify Siddon's ballot.

Though I would like an answer about if Siddon used his voting ballot to break ties or help out movies that he though should be scoring higher in the Hofs he hosted (18th and the Comedy HoFs)

I noticed you haven’t responded to the other quotes of his where you readily admitted to changing your votes.

What did you do a year ago? To get those answers I would have to waste a day finding that information out. And my big pet peeve right now with this board is the lack of respect for my time

It’s actually pretty easy for me to determine what I was doing a year ago. On this day. At this time. Even on this very night. But I get you point.
I’m sorry you feel like we’re not respecting your time. But to be fair, you are the host and you did admit to changing your votes, and we were justified in determining how so. Going over everything you provided, I’m satisfied with the results either way. So, I’ll drop it to avoid any further issues now.
Your time wasn’t the only one put into this, we’re just asking to determine that our time reviewing and voting upon the movies wasn’t wasted with a possible changed outcome. That’s all. Respect our time put into this as well please.
That’s being said? I had a fun time with this HOF.

Ugh, this is tough. My vote is that the list with Siddon should count.

My Ballot:

1. Planes, Trains and Automobiles
2. A Fish Called Wanda

8. The Princess Bride
9. After Hours
10. Broadcast News
11. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
12. Real Genius
13. The Blues Brothers
14. Annie Hall

Flipped a coin to determine my No.1 and there were only two that I didn't like. Thank you Siddon for hosting and as far as I'm concerned you watched the movies, did reviews, did the time so I'm fine with including your ballot. I'm just here to watch movies.

And for all of you who loved The Jerk (and it looks like a lot of you....didn't) I would strongly recommend The Man With Two Brains. It's a riot!

Women will be your undoing, Pépé
My ballot:
1 Annie Hall

3 The Jerk
4 The Blues Brothers

7 Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

Which ones were your nominations?

Here's mine:

1) Who Framed Roger Rabbit
2) Princess Bride (Siddon)
3) Blues Brothers (My Nomination)
4) A Fish Called Wanda (Hey Frederick)
5) Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (My Nomination)
6) Real Genius (Wyldesyde19)
7) The Jerk
8) Planes, Trains, and Automobiles (Siddon)
9) When Harry Met Sally
10) Parenthood (Hey Frederick)
11) After Hours (Wyldesyde19)
12) Back to the Future
13) Broadcast News
14) Annie Hall

Don't think I had any I completely disliked and it was a variance of how much I enjoyed any particular film along with the amount of laughter (which weighed even more in my voting due to the genre of this Hall of Fame).

As for nominations, I, like others was pretty sure Princess Bride was gbgoodies. Pretty d@mn cool surprise it was @Siddon.

Has for the whole ongoing debate, I think it'll be best to wait a day or so. Reread everything and consider it all before weighing in on this.
The better to phrase my words properly and the better to let everyone take a breath and cool down a little.
We ALL invest time and energy into these HoFs as participants, hosts as well as onlookers and we all endeavor to make this an enjoyable venture as well as well-maintained in it's process. So, in my eyes, EVERYONE'S efforts and time are valued.
So, again, I'd rather pause a day to express my thoughts on an aspect of this Forum that I love and love being addicted to.
