Interesting nominationm. While I am not the world biggest fan of old hollywood movies I think I should not give up on the genre. I loved The Fountainhead (1948), for instance.

And I'm willing to give ample time this round. I figured until September 20th, may even extend to beginning of October.

I'm not sure what to nominate, I always try to go with something that most people have not seen so that they can discover it. These are the ones I consider (because I thnk they're all masterpiece). Haven't seen but would love to. Also interested in the Rohmer, as he seems popular around here.

Have seen but would be great noms.

Add Wolf Children and Le Cercle Rouge to "haven't seen but would love to."

I didn't like Viridiana but only seen it once-wouldn't mind trying it again.

I've seen two from Rohmer and enjoyed both of them, but Claire's Knee didn't fare too well in the 5th HoF.

A Man and a Woman is already on my watchlist.

I loved Wolf Children and That Obscure Object of Desire.

I really liked The Red Circle, but didn't that already win a HoF?

I thought McCabe and Mrs. Miller was just ok, but I want to see it again.

I'd be happy to watch any of those, it doesn't matter if I've already seen them or not.

I would be VERY interested in watching this movie, especially with the 1960s list deadline coming up soon. I like some of Sidney Lumet's other movies, and I like Sean Connery.

Yes, I saw Wolf Children. IMO, it was very good, but not great. (But you have to remember that I'm not a fan of anime.)

no, I won't say in advance what I'll nominate raul don't worry. I just want to nominate something that I hope will be enjoyed by most members.

Yeah, I've watched Wolf Children.

It's a very good movie, but it isn't my kind of movie. I thought the story was well told and the animation was absolutely gorgeous, but I just couldn't get past the whole werewolf/bestiality thing.

That said, nominate whatever you think is most worthy. I don't think it really matters whether other people like anime or not other whether they've seen a particular film or not. It's about what deserves to be recognized.

If they like animation they like Wolf Children, its not a hardcore aniota stuff like Utena Adolescence of Utena or that K-On! movie I nominated. My nomination this time will be much more hardcore, the type of voice acting that explodes ear drums with high pitching voices and the bright colors that induce diabetes! Oh, yeah, 15 minute long transformation sequences. Has lots of pink beams and flying little girls as well. As well as talking magic staffs.



I am sure Bluedeed and Sane will love it because they like foreign moovies. This is the real deal.
