The FUNNIEST performance in a film (any type of film)?

We've gone on holiday by mistake
Just looked at the unfunny thread and wondered what character performance form any type of movie gave you the most laughs.

My own personal favourite has to be Patrick Bateman in American Psycho. Basically everything he says or does in the film makes me literally laugh my head off.

Coming in a close second has to be both Raoul Duke and Dr Gonzo, played by Johny Depp and Benecio Del Toro form Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Britney Spears trying act in Crossroads.
Mariah Carey trying to act in Glitter.
Justin Timberlake trying to act.
Justing Beiieber trying to act innocent.

All made me laugh till I puked...

As for the genuine question...

My favourite would be Steve Carell in Anchorman: The Legend Of Ron Burgundy, he steals the show when on screen.
He was good in Bruce Almighty too, though Evan Almighty was a pile of tosh.

Good whiskey make jackrabbit slap de bear.
John Goodman as Walter Sobchak instantly comes to mind, but it's definitely between him and Jack Nicholson as Melvin Udall in As Good As It Gets.

Oh ya: As Good As It Gets: it's heart-warmingly great to be mentally ill so long as you have (a) plenty of cash and (b) the sexual charisma of Jack Nicholson. What a hoot.

I'd go for Bill Murray in Ghostbusters. It's a great plan and I'm excited to be a part of it.

I would say the short guy in Horrible bosses or ANY of the actors in the Hangover films.

Bale's Patrick Bateman def. springs to mind. Also Matthew Lillard creepy whackjob in Dead Man's Curve always manages to make me crease up.

I'm angry. I'm very angry, Ralph. You know, you can ball my wife if she wants you to. You can lounge around here on her sofa, in her ex-husband's dead-tech, post-modernistic bullsh!t house if you want to. But you do not get to watch my ******* television set!

Seriously, one of the funniest examples of overacting ever.

Sorry Harmonica.......I got to stay here.
offhand, here are some of my faves

Chris Tucker in The Fifth Element

Peter Sellers in The Pink Panther Strikes Again

Pryor/Wilder in Silver Streak

Sean Penn in Fast Times at Ridgemont High
