Funny/Odd Referall URLs

Tools

As some of you may know, I use a service called SiteMeter.com to track the hits to this site in various ways. One of those ways involved tracking referalls. For some users, It can track the URLs they were at before they visited. It only works sometimes, but it is quite useful, and some of the URLs are odd, or funny.

Take this one for example:
http://au.google.yahoo.com/bin/query...b=21&hc=0&hs=0

As you can see, this person was using Google Australia's search engine to search for the phrase "planet of the apes 2001 explain spoiler" -- obviously he was confused with the ending.

Here are some other interesting URLs (or search terms) that people used to find this site:
  • http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=muscles+ripping+clothes (several times!)
It gets worse. One person was apparently searching for "octopus bestiality" when he found this site. And no, I have no idea why such a search would produce a link to THIS site.

Oh that is way too funny!!
Copy & Paste those url into your browser to see the search results. Then read what Google has for MovieForum's description.

In Soviet America, you sue MPAA!
Haha, I'd like to know why MoFo popped up when they searched for octopus beastiality!!

If I didn't know any better--I'd say that was PLite who did that search -- but I can't imagine him getting "Octopus bestiality" spelled right.

So uhm... where do you keep the octopus pics on this site? Just curious. Think it was 'cause we were talking about sweet monkey love?

Haha, check this one out (MoFo is on there! I'm so proud):
http://google.yahoo.com/bin/query?p=...ucks&hc=0&hs=0

One was a search URL for "japenese boy fat small penis." Ahhh, the wonders of the Internet.

I see a fair amount of search referall URLs that come from searches for things like "memento explanation and "explain planet of the apes ending" -- or other such variations.

Oops, I AM BUSTED!! I didnt know octopus beastiality would show up, hahaha! Luckily you havent yet found sex whit a seahorse or sea urchins testicols.

You've probably got Daisy to thank for MovieForums showing up from that search.

And
Could you please spell a little worse? I almost understood what you mean that time.
LOL!

Well, someone today searched for "the last night and Jeff Hoferer." Congratulations, Jeff. It appears you may have two fans now. In fact, it appears to have shown up twice...although likely by the same person. I also had one URL resulting in a search for "i hate leonardo decaprio."

i've always somewhat wondered bout this, but does the referel link mean they actually searched for something, and it appeared in the search results, or could it be like they search for octopus beasitlity (huh?) and then typed in movieforums.com into the url bar, but since they "came" from that search results page, it puts it as the referel link??? COMPRENDE?

Technically, yes, but that's rare. When I check and see that MovieForums.com showed up on the results page, too, I know it's "for real." Speaking of which, the fact that we've been talking about octopus beastiality in this thread led another person to this site...someone searching for "Bestiality+Octopus" Freaky stuff.

I had somebody get to FilmDallas.com by searching for "James Bond and Jokes". And once with "real gunga din", and once with "Roger Moore The Simpsons".
