Eagerly anticipating Showtime's new series Ripley, based on the Patricia Highsmith character, Tom Ripley. Already a big fan of films based on this character such as The Talented Mister Ripley, Purple Noon, and Ripley's Game.
The last of these stars John Malkovich.
During the pandemic it was in the press that Malkovich was refused entry to a luxury hotel in Venice because his covid pass had expired. It was mentioned that he was in town filming a Ripley-related character.
Checking both the Ripley series cast and Malkovich's upcoming titles, no mention is made of him in this production. Did he back out or were these press reports just bad info?
