But not Dumbledore? Hahahaha

As for the argument about why the werewolf would show up, I thought no one knew the reason they were invited? They thought it was just a dinner party and he revealed his intentions while they were there. If a person left, people would know they were the wolf.

The point of my question was why would it accept the invitation to environment it doesn't have control over during the full moon. The reason for the invitation is meaningless as my issue was giving up the control during the specific time it's not advisable to do.

oh, I was VERY tempted to include Dumbledore lol

That would be hard to answer without giving away the identity of the werewolf, as far as within the movie's parameters. Leaving only speculation on our parts on the Whys of it.

I do know we all try to place ourselves in relative safety and often times find ourselves in a bad place at a bad time. As well as the inner urge to tempt fate and purposely walk into a dangerous situation. Which, if you live such a life, can be addictive.

But these are all suppositions on my part and is not explained or examined. All I could tell was that they ALL were VERY surprised to find the true purpose of what they were doing there that full moon.

Not all, in my opinion. Dr. Lundgren to me seemed like he knew beforehand.

Women will be your undoing, Pépé
watched Jack Frost last night and fell asleep near the end so I'll re-watch the ending a post a review, most likely tomorrow night or this weekend.

I'm going to try and get these flicks done by the weekend
I'm done with them now. It's just the organising into order of preference and writing a sentence on each that I have to do.

DO we post our final thoughts and ranking in the thread or in private?
You do your reviews/thoughts in the thread, either separately, or, if they're very short, in one post depending on what works. A lot of us post reviews as we watch the movies for the convenience of remembering the movie and how we felt about it as well as sparking discussions from said reviews.

And then, once you've watched all the movies and posted your reviews, you make a list. #1 is your favorite, all the way down to your least favorite, and PM it to the host, Joel.

Do NOT share that list with anyone.
Everyone's vote should be honest and of their own deliberation and not from what they've heard about someone else's vote.
People's votes have been disqualified for sharing them before the end of the HoF.

At the end of the HoF when everyone is finished and PM'd their vote, Joel will post the accumulated final list of all ours put together and announce the winner. At that point, we can all post our votes and, should you care to, the reasoning for how you listed the movies.

IF you like, to familiarize yourself with the end procedure, check out any given HoF's final page or two where the countdown and winner are revealed to get a good idea of how it goes.

Women will be your undoing, Pépé
Also, I finished Jack Frost AND The Burning and will get write-ups in the next few days. That should put me about the halfway mark for watching and posting.

Jack Frost

"Who were you expecting, f@ckin Frosty?"

This is my kind of goofball, tongue-in-cheek, sarcastically imbued B flick. Which is really saying something since the whole Unholy Serial Killer Gets an Upgrade and Goes Berserk causes me to roll my eyes. But with this, we get the the whole A Very Bloody Christmas done with genuine dedication to the genre with a very large dose of self-induced humor.
Jack let's loose every cornball wisecrack imaginable and, like Roddy Piper in They Live, Scott MacDonald does a great job at delivery and I found myself laughing more than once at what was going on.
I had a great time with this Airplane meets - - well, I don't really watch them, so I can't make a decent reference to a true-blue slasher xmas flick.

and, speaking of slasher/serial killers. . .

The Burning

Unlike Jack Frost, this one took quite a long time to get around to the chopping up of camp supervisors.
WARNING: "In fact," spoilers below
as if to move things along, we get around 4 or 5 teens taken out on a raft all at once.

As stated, I'm not a fan of slasher movies; used to watch these when I was younger when Freddy, Michael and Jason were the Kings of Slashing and then just lost interest. Or, rather, as the genre went to the next level of gore and torture porn, I tuned out.

So, as one of the early renditions that followed in the paths of the grind house films of the 70s, this does deliver the goods, albeit, running a little tardy but, the cast, which I did recognize several B Listers, and one A Lister (Holly Hunter who scarcely has a line and you barely see) that made me smile to see so young.

WE GOT MOVIE SIGN!!!
Just finished "The Beast Must die!" which means im only 2 films off finishing the list now! and as im ahead of schedule now on my youtube channel I've bookmarked tomorrow night to finally get round to watching the last 2! (The Editor and Night of the creeps)

I'll send my nomination over to Joel shortly thereafter, but I was wondering is there anything else required to go with that nom (Like a score out of 5 or 10 or like...maybe a caption on my thoughts ont he films) or are we literally just putting them in order of preference from most loved to least loved?

Yes, sir. We're keeping it short and simple for this! Take your time, brother..and looking forward to the reviews!

BTW, a rating system of your choice is an option, but ultimately a numbered list is the real gauge.

Ahh excellent stuff! what I'll most likely do then is send you my nominations tomorrow night and then when it's all been made public I'll post my order and why I put them where I did it's been a bit quiet around here of late...has everyone else finished!?

Ahh thanks for sharing that! so it's looking like most of us are getting pretty close to the end then for a second I thought i'd been letting the team down! Still I will say this! while im not 100% sure of where i'd rank all of these films just yet. it's been an absolute blast working through these movies quite a few of them were so far off my radar they were almost out of orbit! so to be able to sit and watch something I normally wouldnt and come away feeling terrifically refreshed by it has really perked me up these past couple of months...and having some awesome people to talk to about the aforementioned refreshing films has been brilliant quite frankly

This was, uh, certainly a movie alright! The concept sounds really funny and original (Bruce Lee fighting fictional characters in the afterlife), it just makes no sense whatsoever. The English dubbing was so awful it was hilarious. All the fighting scenes are really fun. I never thought I'd hear the line "The Exorcist? You’ve teamed up with the Godfather to dispose of me!" in a movie until today. Also there's some cute comedy moments that are funny.

It does have some problems though, the plot is totally incomprehensible: I mean what was even going on half the time?! The pacing also is very poor, doesn't do a very good job of keeping you interested.

Cool film TTYD.
