Movie Transitions

Hello

I was wondering if anyone can help think of cool movie transitions which take a character from one scene to the next in a cool fun and original way. Like say the director Edgar Wright in Scott Pilgrim?

So one could be with a smart swipe transition where the person is in shot in the same way but in a different environment.

There's a really good one in The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. When the Baron takes over narrating the stage play about him, we go from being on a stage set of the Sultan's palace to the actual palace, using the actor playing the Sultan as the vehicle.

There is a sneaky transition in Saving Private Ryan where the camera pushes in on an old man’s face in a cemetery remembering landing on Omaha beach then cuts to match cut of a different character in a landing barge. The audience assumes it's the same man.

The flash backs/forwards in Once Upon A Time in America.
