No love for Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii?

Also São Bernardo and Pictures of the Old World

Pink Floyd is my favorite band, so of course I would include this - though I never saw it as a movie. I have The Director's Cut on DVD, but I don't like it; I rather see the band than his animation.. I love the interview the most - hilarious. Roger said he and David were "stoned out of our heads" (this was around the time Waters was trying to quit tobacco, so he started adding hash to his joints).

"I'd like to think oysters have transcended national barriers."

Cries & Whispers

The Godfather

Sisters

Solaris

What's Up, Doc?

Though Barbara Streissand did not care for the material, or the theme song (which she had to sing), she handled it like a pro and it is a very entertaining movie, as a result. She and Ryan O'Neil have a great chemistry together and I love his sort of Cary Grant approach toward the character. This movie is particularly notable for a lack of any soundtrack, outside of incidental music (for example, muzak in a hotel lobby) and the theme played over the beginning and end credits. Madeline Khan practically steals the show, as well. I have nothing but praise for this very old, but very charming Romantic Comedy. As I understand it, the film was a hit, when it first came out. Whether this changed Barbra's opinion of the feature, I really can't say ...
