No. Evidently this natural phenomenon happens in only a handful of locations around the world.. this location is an island in the Indian Ocean.
This glow is caused by dinoflagellates, a plankton that lights up when agitated. It sounds like traumatizing sci-fi until you experience these miniature lightning bugs of the sea.
