Tools

and how much money have you spent on them so far?

c'mon, lets see who the biggest freak is...

i have like 15 dvds myself, but i'm still in college and have only recently started buying them.

Welcome to the human race...
At a guess, I own by myself about 20-30 DVDs but my entire family's collection adds up to about 200.

I'm 18 and I have 175 DVDs and boxsets, adding up to 222 titles all together. I bought all my DVDs myself, except for the ones I got for birthdays and Christmases. This time of year I don't buy many DVDs, because I'm saving up for my holiday, but I usually buy a load from September to January.

I've got about 190 DVD's. (inc. boxsets) I'm 17, so my collection will grow gradually and steady.

I have about 500 listed on DVD Aficionado but need to do an update... and then I think it will be about 700....

not happy you told us... happy cause you finally admitted it...

I have been collecting movies since 1991, so I have many VHS still. I have roughly 1,000 DVD, but I truly need to count them, to say for sure. I have roughly 2,500 VHS, but I reeeeally don't want to count them. I have so many of those, that it would kill me not to still count them as a part of my collection. Out dated, sure, but I have too many not to add them in.

I have about 50.

I have about 25? And I rarely spend more than $10 each. I think the only one that was $25 was le Passion de Jeanne d'Arc. And sometimes the good faeries send them along.

Here's an example of why I don't try and list what I've got. These are the DVDs I have from Robert Altman alone...

MASH, McCabe & Mrs. Miller, Images, The Long Goodbye, California Split, Nashville, Buffalo Bill & The Indians or: Sitting Bull's History Lesson, 3 Women, A Wedding, Quintet, A Perfect Couple, Popeye, Beyond Therapy, O.C. & Stiggs, Aria, Short Cuts, Kansas City, Cookie's Fortune, Dr. T & the Women, Gosford Park, The Company, "Tanner on Tanner" and "Gun" (the complete series). Plus on LaserDisc I have The James Dean Story, Brewster McCloud, Thieves Like Us, Streamers, Secret Honor, Fool for Love, "Tanner '88", "The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial", Vincent & Theo, The Player, Prêt-à-Porter and The Gingerbread Man and on VHS I've got Countdown, That Cold Day in the Park, H.E.A.L.T.H., Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean, "Basements" and Jazz '34.

So when I hear "I have about twenty" and I have more than that for a single director...you begin to see how obnoxiously large my collection is.

i have about 90 titles altogether but i have less dvds because of multiple movies being on one disk and things like that

I just received Images from Netflix, and will being watching it this weekend!

The People's Republic of Clogher
I must have well over 400 DVDs now but, to be honest, I stopped counting when I didn't have the space to display them anymore, and when the continual updating of my DVD Profiler list became a wee bit anal. There's a couple of hundred in a cabinet in the front room and the rest in boxes (which I really must label up).

VHS is anyone's guess as I'm carting them off to the charity shop whenever I buy a DVD replacement - which I kicked myself about after letting go my Withnail & I original tape before listening to the audio on the DVD.
