Agree with others on Fight Club...

Not sure it's The Thing though with the "young and the old" reference.
I would also hope that The Thing would a lot higher too.

Since pretty much everyone is saying fight club, I'll make that my 4th guess

Haven't seen Come and See, but based on the circles I follow here and on Facebook, I think I'm gonna have to give it a go.

Sunset Boulevard is my #11!

Fortune, fame, mirror vain, gone insane. And the memory remains---Some great philosopher*

As the film opens, Joe Gillis is a screenwriter desperate to make ends meet. On the run from those who want to take his car away from him, he finds a good hiding spot in a seemingly abandoned mansion. But as it turns out, the mansion isn't quite abandoned...fading silent star Norma Desmond lives inside along with her devoted butler Max. What happens next will affect their lives as well as the life of his friend and his girlfriend.

It's a bit of a question whether this fits under film noir or not. What isn't in question is that it's a great film. Memorable characters, delicious dialogue, strong plotline, impressive visuals whether in Hollywood itself or in her mansion. The twisted relationship between Joe and Norma evolves over time further adding to the intrigue.

Saw this for the first time a couple of years ago and saw it again recently. It's definitely one of those films that you can sit down and watch again. It's mesmerising.

My List:

2. Gone with the Wind
6. Metropolis
9. There Will Be Blood
10. City of God
11. Sunset Boulevard
13. Night of the Hunter

*The great philosopher in this case is Metallica.

Fight Club seems an obvious guess. Maybe too much so?

The other one is tougher...but for some reason, I think it's Coco.

Come and See is one I've heard of but not had the chance to see. Now, after all the comments about it, I must see it!
I'm sad to say that I've never seen Sunset Boulevard. It's one of the few big-name Hollywood classics that have fallen through the cracks for me. But now that I hear that Amazon Prime is about to yank it off their list, I need to get it on it!

Neither made my list, naturally, having not seen them.
I'm still at:
19. The Searchers #97
1. To Kill a Mockingbird #85
25. Die Hard #63

Come and See is awesome, possibly a top 5 war movie for me. I just saw Downfall and liked it even more.

I've seen Sunset Blvd a couple of times and it hasn't done much for me. Sometimes it can take me multiple viewings but I don't feel it with this one.
