Star Wars
Lord of the Rings
Mad Max
Indiana Jones
Lethal Weapon
Die Hard
Dirty Harry
Rambo
X-men
The Godfather
Back to the Future
Star Trek
Terminator
The Matrix

Rocky

Pirates of Caribbean

Indiana Jones

Harry Potter

The Matrix

X-Men

Dark Knight

Spiderman

Die Hard

American Pie

Rambo

Rush Hour

The Chronicles of Narnia
This and Harry Potter are the best. But I also like the Despicable Me's. I really liked the new star wars movies and the old ones are good too. So that would be up there too

Pre-Hobbit Lord of the Rings. I hope that its reputation survives the Hobbit movies. They are OK, but not up to the standard set in LOTR.

After that, The Godfather flix, The Matrix and Christopher Nolan's Batman (not other Batman franchises).

Indiana Jones (Best franchise ever IMHO and my favorite franchise)
Star Wars
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (I count this as one big franchise due to their interconnecting stories)
Back to the Future
Terminator
Alien
Lethal Weapon
Mad Max
X-Men
Blade
Spider Man (Sam Raimi version)
Batman (Nolan and Burton)
Evil Dead
The Expendables
Rambo
Star Trek
The Lord of the Rings
The Hunger Games (still in the middle of being completed but pretty bloody solid)

In no particular order:
Harry Potter
LOTR
Indiana Jones
Iron Man
Sam Rami's Spiderman
Batman (Burton only, I feel like Nolan's movies got worse with time)
James Bond
Chronicles of Narnia

Top 10 favorite franchises:

1. PMMM (it's already a franchise now it has 3 movies)
2. Star Wars
3. Lord of the Rings
4. Alien
5. EVA (also began as a TV series but already has 4 movies)
6. Terminator
7. Back to the Future
8. Mad Max
9. Indiana Jones
10. Star Trek

Some of these have some really mediocre movies in there but the strong ones that matter. Interestingly, movie franchises tend to be juvenile, only Alien, Mad Max and PMMM can be said to be adult out of these 10.

Never gotten through a Harry Potter movie without falling asleep.
Harry Potter is always entertaining for me. It is just that it's not a very powerful franchise in terms of emotional power. I didn't care much for it if compared to other popular franchises.

PMMM?
EVA?

Can you please expand these?

Gangster Rap is Shakespeare for the Future
PMMM?
EVA?

Can you please expand these?
The first one is the greatest homage to Ozu ever made, Puella Madoka Magi Magica. Even the title is reminiscent of Ozu's Good Morning.

The other one is more confusing. It's loving nickname EVA stands for Neon Genesis Evangellion, one of the greatest phallus centered shows of all time.
