Thank you very much, mates)
Part 7. A lot of French stuff here, too. Sorry for my arrogance… I didn’t really thing there’re so many phrases in French. Hope something is recognizeable…

1) 0:15. The guests are entering. The says something to women accompanying him. What does he say?
2) 0:47. What are they speaking about near the roulette? And then a man says something to the blonde woman. And he does it very long! And then he starts offending Elmer. What does he say all that time?
3) 1:39. What does the card say?
4) Elmer says: “This one are two people” What does the man answer? And from that on everything is in French again up to 2:51 (Tony: “Tell me. Who is this lover?”)
5) After that phrase Tony says: “…… his name if you can”
6) 3:13. Tony: “Why didn’t I kill you!” What is Elmer’s answer?
7) 3:54. Patricia: “That calmness, that tranquility… ……really insecure”
8) 4:08. Patricia: “No, love feelings are unspoken” (is it what she really says?)
9) 4:21. Tony goes away and at the same time a pair comes in front of the camera. He says something about the “game”. What are his words?
10) 4:39. Elmer stumbles. Patricia: “…… you to do that”.
11) 4:44. What does Elmer answer about his favorite game?
12) 4:48. Patricia: “Shall we play baccarat?” Elmer: “You think it’s ……?”
13) 5:00. Man’s excuses, in French. And all the quarrel (except Elmer’s “Tuttle”)
14) 6:09. Elmer: “Do I have …… 2000 franks?”
15) 6:17. What do the general and Patricia say to each other (in French) after: “Oh, mademoiselle Patricia! – General Bouchay!”
16) 6:20. Elmer: “General Bouchay! I’ve been looking…” And then during all that mess they cry something in French. What is it? Up to appr. 6:55
17) 7:15. Up to the end. Driver speaks only in French again.

1) this is a very wonderful place I'm sure you're going to enjoy it.

I'll have to listen to the rest tomorrow as it needs some concentration!

You know Rex, I think Will said somewhere else that these foreign phrases would never have been subtitled for English speaking audiences, so the French is very much a hubbub of French intonated noises. No doubt they are speaking French but I reckon it's deliberately elided together so even if you speak French it still comes across as just a general noise, just like the English shouty noises we heard in the last film when everyone gets excited. I don't think the audience is even supposed to understand what's being said - isn't that part of the joke? and it doesn't even form part of the plot . Look at when it actually does form part of the plot when the two French Casino workers plant the money on Elmer's supposedly suicidal body - they revert to speak in English so the audience does understand. I wouldn't translate the French to be honest.

2) at the roulette table the croupier says 'rien ne va plus' which is a roulette instruction not to place any more chips on the table. Translate as 'no more bets'

The old bore with the blonde lady sounds like he's just boring her. Can't make out anything, and he's outraged when Elmer unpins her gown with words - see you're not supposed to understand what he's saying to Elmer cos Elmer doesn't! I think he's saying something like this is a disgrace, here is my card you'll be hearing from me!

3) the card is just his name, obviously aristocratic

4) E: Is this one or two people?
the man's just saying this is a disgrace are you listening to me. (He obviously didn't understand Elmer's question)
At the roulette table when the balls go in, I would just translate that as cries of indignation. Rex, you know that slapping someone across the face with your glove is a challenge to a duel, yes?
After Elmer slaps the man , the man says 'here is my card I am waiting for yours'

5) invent his name if you can

6) E: must've been an oversight

7) that serene expression that tells of a love that is real and secure

8) no. love's sweetest meanings are unspoken

9) let's see if we can have a little game

10) P: it was nice of you to do that

11) Guinea hen broiled - this is a joke, a play on words she means game he answers as if she's asked what's his favourite game as in wild game to eat.

12) E: you think it's proper?

13) man: a thousand pardons, stupidity on my part, pardon.
oh my god! excuse me! it's not yours
It's you then!
E: Tuttle
but no never mind that! you are a coward!
can't catch that other phrase apart from My God!
then Elmer slaps him and afterwards these are all I can translate:
My God, listen! take my card
we will have a duel
(points to other people) you are witnesses to what this man has done

his last words are 'you are mad'!

14) 6.09 but I haven't got 2000 francs

15) General: how are you?
Patricia gets interrupted

16) can't hear this

17) something about his car!
then after the crash
oh! my car! oh what have you done! my Renault! five thousand francs!...oh sacred God!

11) 4:32. Julius: You can’t pull my nose! I……!”
12) 4:41. Julius’ phrase at the very end.

1) well who have you been trying to assassinate now?

2) sorry the French is far too fast for me to understand!!
after Julius Don't get personal, he says:
Do you wanna make something out of it? When it comes to hot looks you're no bowl of cherries. And look at them ears! if you had a propellor you'd be a monoplane! and he kids my smeller! and say it's faces like ...

I want you to act as my lover.” Elmer: “Oh, I couldn't charge for that.” Patricia: “Oh, you don’t understand. Not an actual lover, a pretence, a make-believe.”

5) 3:28. Patricia: “Oh, I can’t go on like this. Besides there's Aunt Charlotte. If she knew that I was in love with a married man, she’d make my life miserable”.

6) 3:48. Patricia: “Oh, I'm at my wit's end I don’t know what to do, which way to turn!and unless you help me!”

7) 3:56. Patricia: “Then I’ll tell you exactly what I want you to do”.

8) 4:01. Patricia: “If I try to go to him, hold me back, use force if necessary”

9) 4:13. Tony: “You tell me this lie, you would restrain me? It is with difficulty that I'm calling, with difficulty!

10) 4:26. Julius: “Wait a minute! You cant force this she ain't at home!”

11) 4:32. Julius: You can’t pull my nose! I won't stand for it see!”

12) 4:41. I'm burning up! I'm burning up! get me? you can't do that again! you cant...By golly he did it!

Supercalifragilisticexpia-lidocious! =)
Here is part 9. No French this time! Besides I practically didn’t compress the file. Is the sound better this time? Do you have difficulties watching it?

1) 0:07. Patricia: “… … …. I want you to hold me in your arms, to hug me and kiss me!”
2) 2:04. Elmer: “This tranquility, this serene expression …… (speaking something)”. And what are Tony’s words at this very moment?
3) 3:05. Patricia: “Oh, you beast, you brute! Do you know what you’ve done? I …… you!”
4) 3:17. Patricia: “Would you have to kiss me every time we turn around?” Elmer: “ …… off!”
5) 4:49. Patricia throws Elmer away from her room, still some words can be recognized through her sobs.
6) 5:03. Patricia: “Albine, Albine! It’s been terrible! Oh, …… kept me a prisoner in this room all the night!”
7) 5:13. Albine: “Oh, but why don’t you … him!” Patricia: “…… - he won’t. In the middle of the night I had a telephone call from……… . …… ” Albine: “Well, it’s your own affair – you hired him!” Patricia: “Yes, but……..”
8) 5:30. Albine: “I don’t know. …. hanging around your bedroom all the night will be hard to explain!”
9) 5:47. Albine: “To get a gun!” Patricia: “…… “ Albine: “I’ll get your breakfast …. it it’s the last thing I do!”
10) 7:38. Patricia: “You’ve been doing more damage….”
11) 7:50. Patricia: “Aw… Elmer… Elmer I didn’t mean to be…. Now let’s forget it.”
12) 8:20. Elmer: “Well, I’ll just be ….house if you need me”.
13) And how do you think the dog’s name is properly spelled?
Thanks in advance!

8) 5:30. Albine: “I don’t know. A couple(?) hanging around your bedroom all the night will be hard to explain!”

9) 5:47. Albine: “To get a gun!” Patricia: “well it would suit me better if you would get my breakfast . I'm nearly starved “ Albine: “I’ll get your breakfast and I'll get that Tuttle (?) if it’s the last thing I do!”

10) 7:38. Patricia: “You can do more damage with one pair of hands than any man I ever saw”

11) 7:50. Patricia: “Aw… Elmer… Elmer I didn’t mean to be cross. Now let’s forget it.”

12) 8:20. Elmer: “Well, I’ll just be out the front of the house if you need me”.

13) Fifi. It's a traditional French name for a little dog, specially a poodle although that one looks a bit like a Maltese terrier

Supercalifragilisticexpia-lidocious! =)
Part 10. It’s one more part to go!

J: “You don’t say it the way you spell it! It’s trois trois dir dir”

El: “Pardon. Voulez vous would you please give me Alycee trois trois dux dux?”

J: “Didn't I just tell you there ain't no dux”

27) 10:02. El: “Would you like some tea?” Then they start arguing. Is that possible to get something to Elmer’s words: “Take it easy, will u?” - Nina's words are in Spanish I think

28) 10:20. Nina rushes towards the door crying something, is it in Spanish? And she continues speaking when El drags her away. It seems like English. Can you help? I can only make out "get him"

29) 10:26. El: “Stay in here” She: “something in Spanish” He: “I’ll call you”.

30) 11:15. Tony: “She’s just a crazy rattlebrained Spaniard. The kind of a woman that man finds, fondles and forgets”. (what a bastard!)

31) 11:24. Tony: “Oh. It’s an art, If you will take the word of one who has had many.”

32) 11:51. El: “Not responsible for hats and overcoats” – what does he mean? the women have just come out of the cloakroom where the hats and coats are stored so he means if they're not responsible for hats and coats then they're there to do something else!

33) 12:00. Nina: “you are crazy for me, aren’t you?” - what does Tony say at this very time? he says "oh well you know, why you see"

34) 12:08. Tony: “Well, you see..” - what does Nina cry in reply? not sure could be Spanish? Tony: “I think I can explain everything to you.” Nina: “AH!”
