The doors of wisdom are never shut. - 'Socrates'
Hey peeps, im looking for a movie i think is from the 80s. This girl is witness to an assination, the guy is dresed all in black bullet proof leather with a bike helmet and what i think was a silenced uzi. I might also be remembering the scene from the first die hard but the assasin uses a flash bang of some kind. I thought the main protaganist was tom selleck but cant find a film of his that matches. Any ideas would be great, thanks :-)

Did you know that in the 1980s movie PREDATOR the titular character was not originally portrayed by Kevin Peter Hall. It was in fact Jean-Claude Van Damme donning a much more insect inspired full body suit before he left the production which then led to the recasting and redesigning of the famous hunter.

Ah yes, the '80s was a great year (?) for cheese!

I'm probably completely off-base, but the first thing that comes to mind is "Enter the Ninja" with Franco Nero. Or maybe some other movie of his; he WAS sort of a low-rent Tom Selleck at the time.

I figured you'd mention robots if this was the case but I'm going to throw Runaway (1984) into the mix anyway. That wolverine dagger thing sounds futuristic so it made me think of this.

Nope not that either im afraid but thanks tho thats a movie id totally forgotten about. Have to have a look at that one again killer robot spider type things if i recall :-). The one im thinking of was set in the 80s. I think at the end the assassin gets one of his flash bangs trapped in his helmet and boom.

Sit Ubu Sit.... Good Dog
Always makes me think of Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man when it mentions the bulletproof clothes and helmets...... but there is nothing about witnessing a murder............. or I don't think so.
