GBG's Non-Country Music Count-UP

Tools

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
Apparently music lists are all the rage now, so I decided to jump on the bandwagon, but since most of you don't love country music as much as I do, I will try to keep this list non-country music, (or as close as possible). No other rules. No specific genres, other than non-country, no specific years, etc. Just non-country songs that I love.

And you may have noticed that this is a Count-UP, not a Count-DOWN. That's right. I'm starting at #1, and working my way up. I'll try to reach at least 100 non-country songs that I love, but they won't be in any ranked order. I'm going to try not to rush through this list like everyone else, so each day, I will add two or three songs that are my favorites that day, probably one song every few hours.

All comments are welcomed, and even encouraged, whether the comments are good, bad, or indifferent. If you like the song, the artist, neither, both, and anything else you want to say about the music posted here, feel free to express your opinion.

Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right
If it's good country you can include it.

And I think I'm not going to make my own music thread. It's gotten too mainstream!!!

Look, I'm not judging you - after all, I'm posting here myself, but maybe, just maybe, if you spent less time here and more time watching films, maybe, and I stress, maybe your taste would be of some value. Just a thought, ya know.

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
This song isn't officially on my list, but I love it, and I wanted to include it because today is Jim Henson's birthday:

Bonus Song #1:
Kermit the Frog - The Rainbow Connection (from The Muppet Movie):

I love the song actually. Sorry I missed it earlier. Man am I showing everyone what a fruit I am with my music tastes today.

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
I've decided that since I seem to be listening to this by myself anyway, I'll start adding one country song per day, in addition to the 2 or 3 non-country songs every day.

Country Song #1:
Kenny Rogers - Twenty Years Ago

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
I also want to add this song as a bonus song for Christopher Reeve's birthday today. It was written for him after his accident.

Bonus Song #2:
Hal Ketchum - Hang in There, Superman

You can't make a rainbow without a little rain.
GBG - I liked the Kenny Rogers

"Twenty Years Ago" is one of my favorite Kenny Rogers songs. He sang it in concert here before it was released, and I fell in love with the song. I remember having to wait almost a year before the album was released.
