The thing isolated becomes incomprehensible
Pulp Fiction (1994)

Jules - Sam L. Jackson
Vincent - John Travolta
Mia - Uma Thurman
Butch - Bruce Willis
Fabienne - Maria de Madeira

The cast would be absolutely perfect like this.

Oh, wait...

Fassbender is better at cold, calculated evil. Revok needs to be completely unhinged. Shannon is much better at that.

True Romance (2017)

Daniel Radcliff as Clarence Worley

Andrew Garfield as Dick Ritchie

Jennifer Lawrence as Alabama Whitman

James Franco as Drexl Spivey

Mark Ruffalo as Lee Donowitz

Steve Buscemi as Don Vincenzo Coccotti

Robert De Niro as Clifford Worely

Dean Norris as Virgil

Jonah Hill as Detective Nicky Dimes

Eddie Griffin as Big Don

The all female Ghostbusters stunk, mostly for being an unfunny comedy, the Thing remake didn't work because they tried to shoe-horn in a romance and the lead was like 19 years old.
You might be the first person in the history of time who didn't like John Carpenter's remake of The Thing.

Recasting Pulp Fiction as if it was made in 2017.

Ashton Kutcher as Vincent Vega

Terry Crews as Jules Winnfield

Anna Faris as Mia Wallace

John Cena as Butch Coolidge

Shaq as Marsellus Wallace

Michael Douglas as Winston Wolfe

Tom Green as "Pumpkin"

Drew Barrymore as "Honey Bunny"

T.J Miller as Lance

Jessica Alba as Fabienne

Melissa Rauch (Bernadette from The Big Bang Theory) as Jody

Williem Dafoe as Captain Koons

Josh Gad as Jimmie Dimmick

John C. Reilly and Zach Galifianakis as the redneck pawn shop owners.

Ryan Gosling as Gimp
This is a goof, right?

You might be the first person in the history of time who didn't like John Carpenter's remake of The Thing.
I think he means the 2011 one, as there's no women in the Carpenter film. And Winstead was about 27 but looked fabulous .

Didn't even know it had been remade again...sorry.
Well it's a prequel, even though the title's the same, centering on the Norwegian camp seen in the Carpenter film. Well worth seeing.

This might just do nobody any good.
Hey, another person who liked the 2011 Thing. It's not half bad, IMO.

I've been thinking of recasting the original. Can't seem to get the cast right. Surprisingly hard to find that kind of blue-collar American actors these days. Jim Beaver plays Wilford Brimely, though.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead is actually a pretty good gender bent Kurt Russell analogue. She certainly doesn't get the recognition she deserves.

This might just do nobody any good.
^ thought about it, but it didn't feel quite right. I need someone less polished.

Also thought of Jeremy Renner who is probably the best pick.

This is a goof, right?
It wasn't actually. Well some of it was like having Ryan Gosling as the Gimp and the image of Shaq getting screwed up the ass by John C. Reilly and Zach Galifianakis.

I don't know much unknown actors and this is the best I could come up with. I know it looks pretty bad but I don't think it would be terrible.

I think Ashton Kutcher could potentially be a good Vincent Vega he sort of has the same kind of swagger for the role and he's handsome and decent enough for comedy. Defiantly not as good as John Travolta but he would be decent.

I actually think Shaq has potential to be a good Marcellus Wallace if directed well. He's a big tall black man with a deep voice so why not?
He looks pretty menacing to me.

John Cena does look like the part for Butch Coolidge and he's a decent enough actor.

This cast would be better suited for a spoof version though.

But I think it's decent enough.

This might just do nobody any good.
From one friend to another:

Paul F. Thompkins as Jimmy

with the ghost of Philip Seymour Hoffman as The Wolf

and Daniel Day-Lewis in maximum method acting overdrive as Captain Koons
