I had so much fun doing the last one and since we've a sub-forum now that isn't cluttering the board, I thought I'd continue the fun...

I've gone to the IMDB's top 250 and clicked on action movies, and put the top 32 into the final. So there's no bias whatsoever.

1. Seven Samurai v Gladiator
2. Run Lola Run v Braveheart
3. Pulp Fiction v The Lady Vanishes
4. Yojimbo v The Killer
5. Apocalypse Now v Ben-Hur
6. Bridge on the River Kwai v Adventures of Robin Hood
7. Empire Strikes Back v Spartacus
8. Raiders of the Lost Ark v Return of the Jedi
9. Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon v Full Metal Jacket
10. Fight Club v Spiderman
11. Saving Private Ryan v Aliens
12. The Matrix v The Wild Bunch
13. Leon v Blade Runner
14. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly v Attack of the Clones
15. Reservoir Dogs v Princess Mononoke
16. Star Wars v Henry V

You know what to do.

And Spartacus is Rollerball (2002) compared to The Empire Strikes Back. But that is merely an opinion, ya know?

I was giving my opinion on your opinion.

Say... whatever happened to Rollerball 2002?

McTiernan's much-delayed (and pointless) re-make of Rollerball, starring Chris Klein, LL Cool J, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos and Jean Reno, came and went earlier this year - at least in The States. Shockingly, it got horrible reviews and zero boxoffice.

1. Seven Samurai
2. Run Lola Run
3. Pulp Fiction
4. Yojimbo
5. Apocalypse Now
6. The Bridge on the River Kwai
7. The Empire Strikes Back

12. The Wild Bunch
13. BladeRunner
14. The Good, the Bad & the Ugly
15. Reservoir Dogs
16. Star Wars*

*BTW, which Henry V, Kenny Branagh's 1989 or Larry Olivier's 1944?

I just checked the IMDb on Henry V. It must be the 1989 version, since it is in the top 250, and the other isn't.

I love, love, love that movie. Nothing compares to the Saint Crispin's Day speech. Everyone here must read it...especially the end. It's brilliant.

This is so braindead.

Seven Samurai
Run Lola Run
Pulp Fiction
The Killer
Apocalypse Now
Bridge on the River Kwai
Spartacus
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Full Metal Jacket
Fight Club
Saving Private Ryan
The Matrix
Blade Runner
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Some of them aren't even action films.
They're just another list for us to argue pointlessly over.

Why is it that I've only seen one out of each of the pairings save a couple? Well, I'll throw in my 2 cents on those and hope that the ones I have seen make it on to the next round.
