The MoFo Top 100 of the Nineties Countdown

We already have organized the top 100 of the 1980's we maybe run both simultaneously. Also, a top 100 non-English films list would be better since we could nominate films by Tarkovsky and Bresson as well.
Ooh, can we? Really? I can't wait. Squee!

I'm shorter than average height, but I'm about 5'6, so I'm not a little person no
Well, you say that.

I just finished Southern Comfort (1981), decent but won't make my list.
Not sure if I'd include it or not, but I'd recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.

The 1950's will have huge number of Asian films since that decade was the peak of Japanese cinema.
It won't. It really, really won't. Unless by "huge number" you mean about 5 or there's a huge turnover of posters at the site. Then it's possible.

I don't think I've said it yet, so thank you Harry. You did a great job and kept it all running smoothly. And you managed all that without killing SC.

Sorry if I'm rude but I'm right
5'6? I don't know how many cm it is. I'm 193 cm.

4. Peppermint Candy
5. Before Sunrise
6. Shall We Dance (1996)
7. Beauty and the Beast
8. Days of Being Wild

25. The Usual Suspects

Surprises (to me, at least): The Rock only picking up 2 votes and finishing below Con Air, and that I was the only person to vote for Apollo 13. Great list overall, and it was good to hear about all of these other films. Bring on the 80s!

My list:

I'm not completely satisfied with the order of it now, but, well, it's still quite accurate in terms of having most of my favorite movies of the decade on it.

22. Léon (1994)

25. Schindler’s List (1993)

As you can see, it's not a very original list.

We've gone on holiday by mistake
Went crazy buying a few films from Amazon the other day that I haven't seen from the 90's and Millenium list.

First watch was "Dark City".

What a load of ****. I haven't been that depressed by a film since I watched "Brazil". There should be a new word for films like this.....how about UNtertainment.

Amazing similarities to "The Matrix". I wonder if someone at a rival studio didn't get wind of Warner's Matrix and try to do something similar.

Bleak and Depressing.

Gonna try and watch Johny Depp's "Dead Man" next.

Dark City is similar to Brazil in some respects. Interesting take that you think Dark City was trying to copy The Matrix. Usually fans of Dark City claim it is the other way around!

Bleak and Depressing.

Well if you thought Dark City was bleak...

Dead Man is sort of funny-bleak, though.
